How Bout Them Cowboys! LOL

The Seattle/Dallas game yesterday was the funniest shit I've ever seen.
My brother-in-law is a HUGE Cowboys fan and had 800 bucks riding on the game, and for all those who missed it, it was CHOKE CITY! LOL

2 minutes left, seattle was up 21 to 20, and the Cowboys were half a yard short of 1st and goal. No problem though, just a dinky field goal and they were golden.
They missed the snap. Their starting quarterback was setting up the kick: half caught it and ended up bent over chasing it with the tips of his fingertips like a retard. Of course he gave up trying to set up the kick eventually, scooped it up and made a run for the end zone. It actually looked like he had a chance for a split second, but he got tripped up.

Cowboys lost. They're out now.

My brother-in-law was standing up screaming at the top of his lungs: first "NOOOOOOO!!!!" then "RUN, RUUNN YOU SONOFABITCH RUUNN!!!!

Goodbye 800 bucks. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS! ROFL
Fuck, I haven't laughed that hard in years.

What are the odds on missing a field goal like that? 1 in 500? More? Less?

Just like an amateur porn star, Dallas always tends to choke on the big ones. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Aaaaaarrggh!! Although I'm a Dallas implant from New Orleans, I wanted to see the Cowboys make it further! Now, it's up to the Saints to take out Seattle! They'll be playing us in the Superdome! GOOOOODBYE SEATTLE! If worse comes to worse, somebody would probably shoot half of their starting and secondary and make them have to use their 3rd string players!

The Good: Cowboys covered the spread...yay for me!

The bad: Bill Parcells...if the last lost was his "lowest point", what did this do
to the old man!

wow...what a choke!

Romo a pro bowler, huhn?

Maybe Romo should switch to being a "pro bowler", he's pretty good at dropping things and watching them roll away. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

It was a suckfest. Both teams looked terrible.

Ha ha, I've been a Cowboys fan all my life and I was yelling at the top of my lungs after seeing that. At first I thought it was some sort of trick play, but then I realized it was just a fuck up. I guess there's always next year :(

I try to think of the other side of things and figure that the Seahawks would've had 1:19 which they would've stormed down into field goal range and won it anyways, that way it makes it feel a little better, ha ha ha.

Spunky 01-07-2007 09:10 PM

Nothing is a sure thing in football..Go Seahawks

Chris 01-07-2007 09:23 PM

Just Shut The Fuck Up

Big_Red 01-07-2007 09:24 PM

yep, they really fucked that one up.

The worst performance of the Wildcard weekend must go to the Kansas City Chiefs. They could only muster 16 Net Yards in 18 plays in the first half, with zero first downs. They finished with a measly 126 Net Yards.

Anyway, I called all four games correctly (see my prediction theads for proof).

My picks for next week: Colts, Saints, Bears, Chargers. The only possible spoiler I forsee is the Eagles over the Saints.

LMAO. I'm sure you loved watching your brother in law lose his mind. Hes probably going to be in a pissed off mood for a month after seeing a loss like that.

The Hawks did not win, so much as Dallas lost by missing a high-percentage chip shot field goal.

Things will be more difficult next week in Chi-town...the best thing Seattle has going for them is that Grossman throws lots of interceptions.

Da' Bears beat Seattle 37-6 this year, albeit Seattle was without Shaun Alexander, although if the Bears can hold him to around 69 yards (as Dallas did), then they should still prevail.

Must be really shitty for romo..

mikeyddddd 01-08-2007 04:54 AM

Romo's in the Pro Bowl as a quarterback. Not as a holder.

All the Cowboys haters are jealous. Only the Steelers have won as many Super Bowls. And the two that Dallas lost to Pittsburgh were classics that could have gone the other way. So,

STFU
