3? You can stay awake and not even notice any difference other than being slightly more relaxed (if you have zero tolerance). It would take 20-30 pills for any real effect - and yea you would fall asleep if you lay down, but if you choose to stay up then you'll trip a bit (if you're lucky) or simply not feel very much at all. Ambien/zolpidem is a modern drug that's "safe" to take in extremely large doses. You can't even OD on zolpidem - drugs have "evolved" since the 50s when people used to pop entire bottles. Harmless stuff.

what I do is take the Ambien and then in 20 Min's when I'm basically sleep walking I forget I took it and take it again. then i go out for the count ... I hate that shit because then i run out at the end of the month.
