How much are you paying for Health Insurance?
How much are you paying for health insurance? I've seen some Bluecross, Blueshield PPO plans that look decent. $150 a month for
$100 deductable, $20 copay, $7 generic drugs + $30 prescription + $60 prescription not on the list, $1,000 max yearly. Seems decent. $30 for urgent care, $100 for emergency room. 10% on surgery and xrays and acupuncture and chiropractic and basically everything else. |
Bluecross wont accept me or my wife. They are idiots!
|
250 every three months
|
I have oxford freedom plan and I pay $1729 a month for the family plan (wife/2 kids and myself) ... NY rates are high .. that $20 co-pay $7 for generic scripts and $40 for brand names .. I could buy a small house for less then that a month ..
|
$ 18, heh... Full coverage!

$220/mo for just my daughter and myself (listed a smoker), my wife is covered through work for free and it was cheaper for us to have myself and my daughter through my business than put us on my wifes insurance through work.. 1,500 deductible (each) office visits 100% after deductible Generic prescription drugs $20 copay Name-brand drugs $50 copay (got dental through my wifes work as it was cheaper) i hate medical insurance... :( |
Its about 15 dollars for every visit, if urgent care is needed its free.
|

That is CRAZY high. I don't know if anyone in your family has a serious medical condition, but either way, you'd be better off setting up a corporate group plan and putting your family under that than whatever it is you're doing now. |

They all raise the rates once or twice every year. You must reset back to fair market value every year or two by switching insurance companies. I just cut my monthly bill down from $338 (used to be $178 three years ago) to $148 by switching plans as a single non-smoker. |
Just over $400 a month for the two of us.
It's a decent program but long term care lacks. For instance, if you need a medication or procedure on a regular basis you need to spend more to cover it or pay out of pocket when you top out. "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?" Woody Allen |
I don't have any health insurance as of the moment.. hehe, joke!

We are looking to form a non-profit member association for webmasters though. Here is the post about it: it/673116-health-insurance-please-post.html We are talking to insurance companies now. If you are interested hit up Errol and get him your info. The more people we have the better for negotiating rates. |

I pay $360/month and the company covers the rest - I think it's like $500/month. I'm not on any medications and I don't have any health problems. Just a 30 year old woman. They are theives, but you gotta have insurance.
