Upload to Youtube, Myspace, Google, Veoh (AT SAME TIME!!!)
Just in case you guys didn't see this:
Veoh.com's latest release will upload your (non-explicit) videos to 3 other services (Youtube, Myspace, Google,) when you upload to them. Saves me a TON of time. Also, if you already have an RSS feed, you can set it up so it will grab your new videos and cross-upload to those sites automatically. p.s. I use Veoh a ton, so I can probably answer questions, too. |
Nice find Hal !!!
Gonna be using that ! ;-) |
sounds good...where exactly does non-explicit end though?

You guys should give webmasters a nice little RSS tool to go along with the embed videos feature. What I'm thinking is allow webmasters to pick keywords or even pick videos that can be exported into a rss feed. Then one video or so could be updated daily via the feed and shown on our sites. It's something none of the other video sites are doing and I bet if you guys added a feature like this, you could quickly become a favorite among webmasters. By using the keyword method you could pull videos at random or the most popular into the feeds. The other way would be awesome if you could set it up like the play list works on youtube. This way the webmaster could pick and choose which video he showed in his feeds via their own play list feeds. |

I signed up for Veoh, but they didn't have a spot to list referrals, so if you get any credit for sign-ups, tell them you sent me (or I can, if you let me know who to contact). Question - when you upload a clip (Step 1), are you supposed to see a progress bar? The screen is the same for me after 15+ minutes since I clicked "upload" (it's a 35Mb file, so I thought maybe its just uploading slow, however an acknowledgement that it is uploading, or better still a progress bar, would be more reassuring). They just did some backend stuff that has slowed them down. I'm told that will work itself out soon. |

Thanks, ADG Webmaster |
It took awhile, but finally got my first test video uploaded...it felt strange editing for PG...
Anyway, here is my first effort - tell me what you think (leave a rating/comment on Veoh too): Mia Smiles Interview Thanks again Hal, ADG Webmaster |

The veoh software kept trying to access the internet when I wasnt using it and my firewall kept popping up warning me about it.
Apparently many others have had this problem, and since I have no idea why their software loads upon startup and runs in the background, and why/what data it sends to veoh when im not even using it, i canned it. |

There's 2 parts to veoh: 1) the web-based flash videos. 2) And the client-based P2P full resolution videos. If you want, you can use it like youtube, and never use the client. If you run the client, you become part of the closed, secure Veoh p2p network. Then you can get hi res versions of the videos. Or ipod versions or whatever. |
