All the Generals tell Bush that adding more troops is a bad idea... "Fired"

This guy is the biggest fucking idiot on the planet. All the military in Iraq are saying sending more troops is a bad idea, so what is Dumb Fucking dipshit gonna do? Send more troops and replace the Generals...

What a fucking idiot, he is seriously trying to start a fucking World War, I swear to god, he's a lunatic.

BAKO 01-05-2007 01:20 AM

Bush= Idiot

baddog 01-05-2007 01:22 AM

Well, not sure where you got that info, but lots of high ranking generals have said it was necessary . . . . seem to recall that at least one lost his job as a result of that

Ok, they aren't "fired" bad choice of words, they are being replaced.

Well, I guess military analysis is something you should add to your resume'.

Exactly what military analysis did I make Grandpa? I mean if you're gonna try to use big words, you should at least know what they mean.

spacedog 01-05-2007 01:44 AM

yeah., and in 2008 Jeb Bush is running for prez.. :(

Well first, sonny, I don't know about you, but there are no words in my comment that I (or any 7th grader) would consider a "big word." However, as far as what analysis you made, I will admit that I made some presumptions.

You acted like Bush fired generals because they spoke against increasing the troops. You gave the impression that you thought this sucked, so I "presumed" that you felt that increasing troops was a bad idea . . . even if the prior head of the US Army, Gen Shinseki stated otherwise.

I think this would qualify as military analysis.

And that's where you should of stopped Gramps, because everything after that is an assumption.

If you want my analysis, which would be a Politicial analysis, not a Military one, it is this:

Top Generals are telling Bush putting more troops in Iraq is not the correct thing to do.

Democrats just took over Congress, and announced that they have a plan to get troops out of Iraq.

Bush wants to add more troops.

Therefore, in order to make it so he can add more troops, he is replacing those who might favor the Democrats' plan, so he can have what are referred to as "Yes Men", so he has more leverage for his plan to add more troops.

Ever give any thought to what would happen if we just "left?" I didn't think so.

See, what you forget, is that the head of the US Army told him he needed more troops long ago. He didn't want to do it. Now, he is seeing that maybe they were right.

This war sucks. Jr did not know how to kick ass. Now the people there are fucked, and we are fucked . . . but just leaving is not the way to do it. At least, that is what he is probably being told.

baddog 01-05-2007 02:16 AM

BTW, there are many 'top generals" as you like to call them . . . they don't all agree.

I am not trying to pretend like I know how to fix the war, I am not even discussing the war, my whole point is that he is not doing it to help the war, he is doing it to get his way, regardless if it is better or worse for the war.

There is some serious pwnag3 in this thread.

Strawman arguments thrown up, and shot down by Baddog.

Sure came across as you trying to start an argument. Backpeddle much?

DaddyHalbucks 01-05-2007 04:45 PM

GWB is correct. We do need more troops in Iraq.

If we are going to fight a war, let's fight to win!! That was a major lesson of Vietnam. Have we learned anything?

The Defeatocrats are trying to force Bush into another humiliating Vietnam.

You sound like someone from the left coast. Do you really think he's doing this for his own good? I completely disagree with you on every level. Amazing.

You should pay attention to your own posting. You don't have a leg to stand on, you now backtrack and say you are stating opinions, whereas earlier you came off spouting facts.

Your strawman arguments aside, baddog has shot down everyone one of your "Facts" and yet you continue.

Non sequitur much?

Standard reply, you really suck at this, give it up. Read your own drivel above numbnuts.

Arguing with you is like arguing with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

I don't have just latent homosexuality, but full fledged ass spread over a traffic cone certifiable homosexuality, and I STILL agree with aico.

Here's a hint for everyone: If you ever find yourself agreeing with baddog about a political issue, or hell just about anything for that matter, it's a pretty good indicator that you're dead wrong and need to switch course. :thumbsup

It's a free country, you can suck all the dick you want, but stating that Bush is encircling himself with yes man is absurd when it comes to this war.

Emotional responses aside, we cannot leave Iraq, and everyone with half a brain knows this.

I'll be back later after training, I enjoy debates that are based on emotional triggers.

We are all more stupid for having read that.

The fact is this. If we left Iraq right now the situation would be far more fucked. You need to read up on your history and current events before you say we need to pull out. If you are going to respond, please tell us why we should pull out and what positive effects it will have in the Middle East, the United States and the rest of the world.

On a lighter note, It sure is stormy here in Seattle. ;)

This thread is not about whether or not we should pull our troops out of Iraq, nor did I say anywhere in this thread that we should pull our troops out of Iraq. This thread is about how two Generals told him that his idea was a bad idea, and they were replaced with two Generals who think, or at least will say, his idea is a good idea.

I don't actually live in Seattle, I live in Sequim, we're in the Rain Shadow so it was nice and sunny today. Was windy though, same yesterday, worked out in the yard all day.
