We just started shooting in HD. The quality is amazing, but the workflow is a pain in the ass.

Pure HDPRO (1080i /60fps/100Mbit) takes about 1 gigabyte per minute of video (vs. 1 gig for 5 minutes of regular video), so the data is way too large to fit onto DV videotape, so it has to be stored either on flash cards or on specialized external drives.

Once we get the workflow down, I think it will be really cool, but for now we're spending an insane amount of time just copying video files from the shoots... we just did about 20 shoots in the past week, and that's almost a terabyte of hard drive space.
