Bush just made a law so the Gov't can't open your mail
And then went on to add one of those Presidential note/addendum thingies saying he could open it if he wanted to.

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, we're talking about the reading of mail without a WARRANT. |
Im confused by the thread title.
|
So the government CAN or CAN'T read your mail?
|
this thread is useless without a link to more info...

I was very accurate. He signed a NEW law saying that the Gov't CAN'T open your mail (note to all the nay sayers saying that customs opened mail, NEW & CAN'T). But, he added a note to the law that he can open it if he wants. So basically, he signed the law and said he didn't have to follow it, for all those confused. Ya, old news... lol jesus this place cracks me up. |
Didn't realize the American laws were that strict. Not only do Canadian customs open/take what they want, they send you an addition charge for them to do so.Some charges double of what the products were worth
|
Why do people keep mentioning Customs?? If I mail a letter to Texas, from Washington, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH CUSTOMS.
