New Zealand Having Coldest Summer in 78 Years (Global Warming Alert!)
Wellington, Jan 3 (DPA) New Zealanders shivered in December, with the capital recording its coldest start to the southern hemisphere summer for 78 years, according to official figures released Wednesday.
The National Climate Centre said that Wellington's average temperature was 12.9 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees below normal and the lowest since records began in 1928. Even Kaitaia, the country's northernmost town, suffered a 2.5-degree drop in the average December temperature to 15.6 Celsius, the lowest since records were first taken there in 1948. The chill has continued into the New Year as most New Zealanders are taking their summer vacations. Snow fell this week on Mount Ruapehu, an active volcano and the North Island's highest peak at 2,797-metres. The temperature in Wellington hovered Tuesday around 11 Celsius, about the same as European cities now in the depths of winter. http://www.teluguportal.net/modules/...?storyid=27097 |

i love your sig:) do you sell partner passes for that site ;) |
It's been about 20 degrees higher than average where I live for a month or more now. Usually we get first snow and steady snows beginning near the end of October. This year we've only had 1 snowfall and it melted 2 days later when temps got near 50 degrees F again.
And the law allows the gas/electric company to add on a fee because the weather has not required more usage for furnaces and heaters! Talk about scams! |
sure has been cold here the other day its was 6 degrees C
normaly its 30 + at this time of year |
Yeah, this winter has to be the warmest within the last 100 years.
It is about +9 C here (usually it is -5-10C). |
Affirmative conclusion from a negative premise.
Dont you guys ever think or read about the topics you blab about? |
in Sydney we have had some of the hottest days on record in the last 12 months! Australia is drier than it has ever been since records began and Southern Australia is drier and hotter than ever (bushfires) and Northern Australia is wetter, windier amd cooler than ever!

I could have gone golfing yesterday here (Toronto) most times is below -10 and on really cold days it can dip to below -40. Even today Im sitting in my condo with the windows open in my boxers. Fucking crazy.

Call me a skeptic but...
Records don't go back that far you know. 'Hottest summer on record' equates to 'hottest summer in 0.0001% of the earths total life' or something. The earth's been getting warmer for millions of years, there was an ice age if I recall. The sun is getting hotter also. To say that's it's all down to us in our cars and planes in just BS IMO, it's just another tool to keep us in our homes watching TV, afriad to go out incase the sky falls in. Like Terrorism or bird flu. I'm not saying things haven't accellerated but everyone is jumping on the badnwagon far too often. I find it kinda hard to believe what the Politicians and media keep telling me. About numerous things actually. :-) |
