Please Explain This To Me ...Use of the word "FEEDS"
 

Ok is it me, something i have never got: The use of the word in selling the surfer : REALITY FEEDS...OR LESBIAN FEEDS...ETC.

The word "feed" has not a thing to do with "movie" or "porn"....so why? I think its more a word that is used in the "behind the scenes" part of speaking about our biz, not as a selling point for a surfer..."feed" wtf is a feed...so i looked it up.


Definitions of feed on the Web:

There are phrases/words I would never present to the surfer. Pic(s) tops the list, and feeds would have to rank up there.

Not sure why, if i am a surfer i want to see REALITY PORN MOVIES not REALITY FEEDS.......what is that?...lol

i guess its something that was picked up from mainstream television (i.e satellite feed, etc) but I think now adays its more just a B2B term within our industry to represent a set of streaming or digitally delivered content

Streaming (live) video is better for SE puposes IMHO.

The term feed has become pretty common place, especially among the more savvy surfers used to news feeds, sports feeds, whatever. It's a regularly updated "list" of the newest porn available. Shit, most browsers now have the ability to add feeds from sites that offer them.

If you were a surfer wouldn't you want the latest feed of Raven Riley's newest content(for ex.)?

And it's poor marketing when presented to surfers as such.

Don't talk to them like "they know" the porn business ... tantalize them with words that get them horny!

Describe the content not as a feed or "plug-in" ... tell them what they'll see

I'm not dogging you - I just think that using the word feed isn't a good term for marketing at all ... it's not sexy - unless you tell sufers if they join that the models will visit them - suck them dry and feed em' a sammich :winkwink:

Well, I will have goodgirl with me, and we go play almost every time I come to Indiana, so she has started to get into it. In fact, she commented that I need to take some time to help her learn more, so blackjack is definitely on the itinerary.

goodgirl is a real newbie to blackjack, but has become more brave when I am there with her. I have had her split 8's then split again when another 8 was dealt. Have her doubling down, all that fun stuff . . . and she is good at it.

Not to mention, feeds can refer to so many different things these days its confusing. I catch myself sometimes posting about video feeds, in threads that were actually about RSS Feeds, and vice versa. Always caught myself, but i'm bound to slip up sooner or later:P
