It was a great movie minus the ending. The ending is very symbolic, but I thought the ending made the movie go from A status to B+.

reynold 01-04-2007 12:59 AM

Not bad. I'll save dimes for that one. :thumbsup

Sexsitesurfer 01-04-2007 02:22 AM

Think I'll check it out this weekend!!!!

cooool 01-04-2007 02:30 AM

film is very good

Trax 01-04-2007 02:37 AM

i saw it also a few months ago... i thought it was ok... looked kinda cheap though (expect for the war scenes at the end)...
this one def. aint gonna win the oscar for best camera lol

Sarah_Jayne 01-04-2007 02:44 AM

the ending was perfect for the film...in my book it is the best British film in years

Sarah_Jayne 01-04-2007 02:45 AM

and isn't going to win for best camera? You have to be joking. The pure number of long single shots such as in the apartment building is stunning.

loco12 01-04-2007 03:09 AM

Its already out on DVD in the UK. What are you lot talking about? Saw it months ago. Great film mind.

cem 01-04-2007 03:41 AM

I just watched it yesterday and it was OK. btw, he dies at the end.

No it wasn't lol. The tomorrow symbolism was great but it made the two hours of waiting for some sort of closure moot. I wasn't expecting them to find a cure to infertility but I wanted an answer. The ending is what made the movie go from A to B+ for me.

Przemek 01-04-2007 04:47 AM

I have to read the book before watching the movie :)

hard to discuss without giving things away and i hate people that did it but I think it worked..but even a B+ film is better than most around today

Just saw it yesterday...wasnt too bad.... i give it a B+.....

Centurion 01-08-2007 12:54 AM

The movie was just OK..there were way too many loose ends. It seems like the director was trying to cram a LOT into 2 hours, and I walked away with more questions about the movie than before I saw it.

Red Ezra 01-08-2007 04:11 AM

it reminded me a lot of blade runner - the otherworldy kind of feel - I thought it was compelling until the end - and then I wondered why that for an ending?

The book has the same name?
I will do it too. Better to read a book before, then to watch a movie.

I was surprised when I found out the writer as it is a very famous UK writer but their normal stuff is much more disposable popular fiction.

Frostvr4 01-08-2007 11:03 AM

Really looking forward to watching it
