Scariest Movie ever

As a guy we always say no movie is really that scary, ok, then let me put it this way, which scary movie, has many scenes that are just hard to forget and the closest to it.

I personally think that chainsaw massacre movie from like 6 years ago, I never forgot. Some parts of saw l and saw ll are so so.

Jeepers creepers stuff like that are dumb

What about saw lll, I haven't seen it yet?

I look back on the nightmare on elm street stuff like that, it wasn't scary, we were just young.

What's the scariest movie of all time, like mess up your mind scary?

Don't say something like Al Gore's movie, nothing to fake

I remember the old creepshows when I was young kind of scared me, I was pretty young then, weren't they working on a new creepshow?

The Thing... John Carpenter's version.
it's fuckin' creeeeeeeeeepy. Anything he does is pretty much cool and freaky.

the ring was pretty scary for me.

johanng 01-03-2007 09:50 PM

The Ring is one of them, but i love The Silence Of The Lambs, although they don't have many scary scenes there.

After Shock Media 01-03-2007 09:52 PM

I really think this type of thread need to be boiled down to the scariest scenes. Often even real bad movies have scary scenes that rank well up the list.

notabook 01-03-2007 10:00 PM

Flipper was one fucking scary movie.

Spunky 01-03-2007 10:08 PM

When I was a kid it was the Exorcist..they all make me laugh nowadays

MattO 01-03-2007 10:11 PM

Titanic..

reynold 01-03-2007 10:17 PM

The Silence of the Lamb and The Exorcist are two of the scariest films I've seen.

28 days later is the illest

Prairiegrrl 01-03-2007 10:40 PM

Wes Craven's "The Last House on the Left"

EBORG9 01-03-2007 10:44 PM

Hellraiser. Pinhead is one of the scarriest characters, ever.

(The Thing was pretty scary, one of my favorites.)

johanng 01-03-2007 10:45 PM

agree with reynold again

Check this older one out. Something about it really creeped me out. It's a well made movie too.

"Repulsion"

SPACE GLIDER 01-03-2007 10:49 PM

Fresh Horses ... Andrew McCarthy's attempt at acting in that horrible HORRIBLE film was the most bone-chilling thing ever put on film

Oh those are two i'd place in my top 5. And they're so DIFFERENT. Excorcist was scary because of what they showed you. But Silence was scary because of the clever way they "Didn't" show you things.

the ring (japanese version) scares me

I always thought The Serpent And The Rainbow was one of the scariest I've ever seen.

Voodoo 01-03-2007 11:00 PM

Actually, "A Tale of Two Sisters" was kinda creepy:

PeeWee's Big Adventure. That one gave me nightnares!

jollyperv 01-03-2007 11:51 PM

Tough call, honestly as far as just flat out creepy, poltergeist still has a few parts in it that just give me the fucking willies, even after seeing it 100 times. I know the horror buffs will have a field day with me now.

Modern horror movies are a fucking joke, it's all quick camera moves and "jump" scares. Nobody is willing to take a loss on a horror movie anymore, or any movie for that matter. Hence the remakes.

dougeetx 01-04-2007 12:01 AM

Has to be Scary Movie 4! The acting in that was just terrifying!

SPACE GLIDER 01-04-2007 07:42 PM

Yeah that movie has one of the creepiest scenes ever. Someone trying to fake being sleep so they won't be killed ... and the killer coming into the bedroom ANYWAY
