2 supercars but if you want the most bang for the bucks (speed wise of course) don't burn so much $$$ on one of those 2 ...get a Corvette Z06. For the price of 3 Chevettes you'll kick any Gallardo owner's butt :thumbsup

it does look good and it is expected to be around 100k so I guess you could buy and audi and a vette for the price of the lambo.

audi has same engine and AWD system as lambo. corvette corners shithouse like all american cars.

The Audi has a 4.2 V8 the Gallardo is a 5.0 V10.The awd systems are very similiar.

The corvette may beat out one of these cars, but (in my opinion - whatever that's worth) just does not have the appeal as one of these two cars.

Little old ladies drive corvettes. Look around at Corvette drivers, there are two main types; guys who turned 50, have a decent job and can now afford a nice car AND the 50 year old wives of those guys.

It is no longer the car that it was.

Without any hesitation I'd go with the Lambo again.I do believe that the R8 is going to be a very good car for the buck.But the Gallardo really does deliver.

the 2008 R8 will have the V8 engine - they are due to be arriving around fall of 07 priced around $100K+...

the R8's with the V10 engines (same as the Gallardo) will follow in the spring of 2008 for about $10K more. both engines will be available - they are not going to drop the V8 for the V10 when it comes out.


i'd probably rather get a 2004 Gallardo for $140K than a new R8 but that's just me...

Well.. S8 is a 4 door sedan, comparable to 7-series BWM... R8 is a 2 door supercar. Not much difference really.
