Ok that's my blog. Not much too it right now, just playing around learning the ropes and what not. Im just wondering if I can edit the side bars meaning I want to change "Meta" and the links under it? I can't find it in the admin or in ftp. Would I have to have a custom theme made or is there a way to do it?

Yeah you can pretty easily. I think, if I remember correctly, you have to edit one of the pages through the wp-admin section

You can find the theme in the wp-content/themes folder and then edit it in Dreamweaver. The theme you're using right now is called "default" and you would need to edit the sidebar.php file.

I would recommend buying or creating a new theme so that you have something unique for your site though.

I plan to bro. Just want to learn as much as possible before I go spend money on design and all that. Thanks for the info. So it's not in the admin area you say. Have to do it by hand?

IT IS IN THE ADMIN SECTION

on the theme you have "default" you will go into your admin section > click PRESENTATION > click THEME EDITOR > select DEFAULT > you will see on right side of screen all the pages you can edit....

I think it is SIDEBAR you want to edit. So click that and you will see the HTML you need to edit - However you gotta make all these files 777 through your FTP if you want to be able to save them

If you don't want to do it by hand, go to Presentation>>Theme Editor and you'll see the different files you can edit there. The sidebar.php file must be writeable in order for you to do it from the admin.
