If you are still with registryfly (drama)

If you still have any domains left at registryfly.com you better check them. I had been using them a long time so I had a lot of domains there. With really not to many problems.

However because of all the issues others had been having I stopped using them for new domains and was slowely moving names to other registars. I figure many are doing the same.

So now to add yet another fuick up by a ICANN registered company.. I check some of my sites last night and they were 404ing.

Fucking registarfly reset the nameserver DNS for every fucking domain that I still had with them. So if you have any names left with them check them out because it might not be pointed at your server.

Registerfly sucks! I have really bad experience with their service :(

Raven 01-03-2007 09:21 AM

I thought I purchased a few domains for Toy Boy....according to ICANN I did. According to Register Fly, nope.

The account does not reflect the purchase. I can't purchase them anywhere else, since the domains are now taken, according to WHOIS, with RegisterFly as the registrar.

Call waiting for support is 30 minutes or longer.

They don't respond to tickets.

I want to move my domains and will, but I get the sense they will end up floating in space if I attempt it.

This totally blows.

Well just so you know where it is.. The EPP Code code needed to transfer your names away is in the contact management section all the way at the bottom.

Anyone know if there is a formal way to make a complaint about them? Seem with all the shit they have been fucking up they should lose their ICANN registry status.. I've never heard of a domain company that has fucked so much shit up like registerfly.

Raven 01-04-2007 08:27 AM

In all fairness, RegisterFly has fixed my problem. I may still move ToyBoy's domains to another registrar, since the efficiency is not present...but, I will say they finally got this problem resolved.

Well I opened my ticket yesterday asking WTF happened and they have yet to answer. The name servers that I haven't updated (domains that are parked and so on) are still pointing to their DNS.. So they haven't and wouldn't have fixed shit.

Meaning the only ones that are fixed are the ones I fixed.

iv@n 01-04-2007 09:49 AM

registerfly is synonym for worthless idiots

pornguy 01-04-2007 10:04 AM

namecheap is a great company. But I would stay away from godaddy as well.

Why GoDaddy?

cybermike 01-04-2007 10:55 AM

tried to transfer one of my domains a week ago and the code in my management section is only 3 characters.. wtf

scouser 01-04-2007 12:10 PM

I hate registerfly now as well. Their offers seemed to be too good to be true. They were. :(

Vigilante 01-04-2007 12:13 PM

One time they even deleted one of my questions without answering :X

Only using namecheap since a few months

bdld 01-04-2007 12:44 PM

i'd stay away for a while, until you start hearing good comments about them again. i moved out a bunch of stuff just recently.

gornyhuy 01-04-2007 01:02 PM

same problems here. FUCKERS.

Violetta 01-04-2007 01:48 PM

3 of my domains just expired! I have tried to renew them several times. Funny that it works like a charm at namecheap. Waiting for an answer to that fucking ticket...

WiredGuy 01-04-2007 01:56 PM

Yup, I'm preparing to move all my domains away from them next week.

Forget about them, Ive been waiting 1.5 weeks for my expired domains to re-register. If the domains get traffic, you just lost them....

I've moved everthing over to namecheap.

fusionx 01-04-2007 03:14 PM

I moved all my stuff to NameCheap about a year ago and don't regret it at all.

Registerfly still has all my old domains listed in the user account as active, and they send me renewal notices all the time. Assholes..

man, I am having the exact same issue, and I did the exact same thing yesterday

I registered some cheap .info's, set my nameservers when I registered, they sent the receipt saying they are registered, now nothing is showing up and nothing is registered

I am thinking about just registering the same domains at godaddy since I have 6 support tickets at registerfly trying to find out what is up and nothing is registered

latinasojourn 01-04-2007 03:32 PM

yes registerfly is the worst.

still have a couple domains there, but want to transfer them out.

what is best procedure for this? anyone done it successfully without your domains going dead?

PornDiscounts-R 01-04-2007 04:14 PM

This sucks.´I have domains there to. tryed to move some of them with no luck. just nothing at all happened

nekrom 01-04-2007 05:11 PM

I've still got a few open support tickets with those wombats at registerfly from yonks ago. 12 months or more ago I moved out the majority of my domains to both namecheap and moniker and havn't had any issues since.

Working with your registrar should be a "drama"-less procedure, and I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with yours, Crockett. My recommendation to ANYONE who has domain names is to 1) make sure that you have a specific account manager, no matter WHAT registrar you are with... one that you can either call or ICQ and get an answer from immediately or at least get action from. Make sure that they have a good idea what you need and know what problems you have been facing. 2) Keep an eye on your holdings! Granted if you have a good repoire with your account manager, then you should have to do this less, but your Account Manager will still need to have an idea of your preferences or "touchstone" issues.

I make these recommendations because I have seen this work with the adult industry clients that I have, and even though I would (obviously) LIKE to see each and every domainer and webmaster in the adult industry using Moniker... it is my firm belief that these principles will work at whichever registrar you feel most comfortable using! I hope this helps, and if anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to email or ICQ me, and I will advise you as best I can! Cheers!

DaddyHalbucks 01-05-2007 09:19 AM

I own thousands of domains.

I have tried all of the big registrars, and alot of the little ones too.

The only registrar I recommend is Moniker!

:)

Devin 01-06-2007 01:53 AM

Thanks for the heads up on registerfly. I have some domains there too. I

ipc 01-08-2007 04:19 AM
