Anyone dealt with sedo?

I won an auction at sedo back on the 13th of December. Got my payment in immediately.

Sedo's transaction listing says that the transfer requires an AUTH code from the seller and shows that they requested the code from the seller on the 14th of December.

On the 29th, I sent an email to sedo asking them to rerequest the code from the seller. To this I got an autoreply saying they would get back to me in 2 or 3 days.

So, at this point I have to ask:

Is this pretty normal for a sedo transaction?

Should I be putting on more pressure, and if so, how? Or am I just being impatient?

Thanx in advance

You're impatient (not a fault).. Sedo haven't caused me any trouble at all but they do like to send me checks, so I get the impression that they are stand-up and top-notch.

I have sold a name before and it took several days to complete the transaction. I think they hold payment and name transfer for a few days for security reasons. You will be fine with sedo.

Thanx. I wasn't trying to imply that sedo was screwing up, if anything is delaying this, it is probably the seller either missing that he needs to send the code or screwing around for some reason.

I've had a few sales with them (4 or 5) the longest lasting one took about 4 weeks for the buyer to pay, but I don't know how it works with the seller trailing his legs...

The sale is of course a contract, though if the seller decides not to push the domain to sedo, not sure how far sedo would go to take legal proceedings... prolly depends on the $value of the sale :(

Thanx for the replies :)

I've read sedo's faqs and such and it sounds like my only course of action through them would be to report that the seller is not cooperating (as per his contract). But probably the most that would come from that is that I would get my money back and the contract would be dead. But I want the domain so I don't think I'm ready for that route just yet.

Sorry to bumb a week old thread but....

I finally heard from sedo on about the 8th, so I initiated the transfer that day, still waiting for the current registrar to approve the transfer.

Patience is not my strongest point...lol.
