Google desktop...anyone use it?
 

I am trying to find a gadget for common links I use

I just want a list of common links that I use right on my desktop, basically like a bookmarks/favorites list so that I don't have to open IE or Firefox, I can just click a link on my desktop and the browser opens up

anyone seen anything like this?

I tried Thumbshot Bookmarks, but they put an icon next to the link and it makes the list huge because of that icon

Why would you want to allow google direct access to your computer?

why do you care what I do?

btw, it indexes your computer, and just like google toolbar and cookies, it doesn't send anything worthwhile to google
