Big L Bucks Bribing People to Sign Up for Paysites? *ATTN: SILVERCASH*

Ran across this site a few minutes ago:
http://biglbucks.com/bigl/

Read what it says for yourself, but it looks like he's bribing people with money to sign up for trials to paysites, who obviously have no intentions to stick around.

Just bringing it to anyone's attention, especially SilverCash. I'm assuming this is frowned upon and against TOS.

Pete-KT 01-02-2007 03:51 PM

well thats bullshit

sicone 01-02-2007 03:54 PM

BradM 01-02-2007 04:00 PM

Hello All:

This was brought to our attention. This is shameful and utterly dishonest. We understand this is not a reflection of all SC webmasters and we are taking the appropriate steps to address unethical business practices noted in this thread.

We are doing our best to raise payouts and listen to our webmasters' needs - we will continue to do so. Thank you for bring this thread to our attention and we appreciate your ongoing cooperation in educating others on unethical business principles.

If any of you have further questions regarding this issue, please do hesitate to contact me directly.

Yea for Silvercash! I'm glad people let you know about this ASAP. You guys ROCK!

boneprone 01-02-2007 08:05 PM

Holy shit!!

Isnt this Tactic a Anal Hobbit tip?????

TDF 01-02-2007 08:14 PM

a lot of free sites use these tactics

starpimps 01-02-2007 08:52 PM

most people who sign up for trials (no matter how they got to the paysite) are usually people who will later sign up for the site right?

DTK 01-02-2007 08:53 PM

You know, I've always been pretty venemous toward affiliate programs that steal sales through various methods. But to be fair, it's important for affiliates to see that programs have to deal with their share of scummy shit too.

Hello fellow webmasters,

Just to check in here, I realize that there is alot of hostility towards my site. However, you will all be happy to now that I am banned (it seems - I cannot log in) from Silvercash.

This is unfair for several reasons:
- I have not violated any of the Terms of the agreement (sorry poondaddy, your assumption was incorrect
- I was not notified via email that I was involved in any wrongdoing
- I was not notified via email that the agreement was terminated (see quote below)
- Albert's email address is apparently not valid (reason: 554 5.7.1 Invalid Recipient)
- Albert is not logged into ICQ nor can he be reached via telephone

I would much rather chat with you in person that over this webforum, Albert - please get into contact with me as soon as possible.

Every affiliate program has fraud control in place for webmasters that are deemed as 'high risk'. However, there is no complete calcualation with exact components on how to do this.

Having said this, there are webmasters or fraud surfers who will be dishonest. With all the fraud and unethical business phiosophies, these are all major contributors to that effect the way programs operate and serve the webmaster. WE constantly seek the feedback from webmasters, surfers and billing companies so we can reduce these attempts as much as possible, so we can focus our energies in providing honest webmasters better tools, better payouts and ultimately better service.

This is why everyone loses and the Silvercash management team appreciates your efforts in locating fraud at all levels. I am confident we can all agree that building relationships through methods of 'good will' only make you a better professional. Keep in mind, the traffic business model demonstrates that our largest competitor can also be our best friend in this industry :)

Very nice reply albert, some people will do anything to make a dollar

BigLBucks Management Team:

I argue that I am very accessible along with my teammates. Our silvercash sites lists 6 individuals who can easily provide you customer service. My email is valid and I have been on ICQ from 8am - 8pm Pacific time today. There are numerous ICQ histories and sent emails to verify my accessiblity on these two types of communication venues.

Individuals who know me in this industry certainly know my reputation of being professional and I am confident that I have earned the respect from the GFY community. You are new registered user with a single post. So, please be mindful of your accusations on an open forum.

All my information is in my email signature and I would be happy to speak to you during business hours tommorrow. If this is of immediate nature, I am currently on ICQ to be reached.

You have quoted our terms and agreement and I would be happy to clarify any questions you have for the abuse of our policies on a private communication.

tenletters 01-02-2007 11:19 PM

well he has a point... your TOS states that you will email him and you didn't. Guess it's time to email him, lol.

Or he can perhaps fornicate with his own person.

AGP Albert 01-02-2007 11:30 PM

He will certainly be emailed/contacted.

We evaluate each account that is possibly deemed as fraud and in the event an account is terminated, we contact the webmaster within 1-2 business days.

Please keep in mind that it is not in our best interest to terminate an account that sends us traffic from legitmate sources and meets the criteria for ethical generated traffic. WE are in the business to serve the webmaster, so we can all operate with profits in mind.

We are entering 10 years of operations and operate with professionalism and credibility at all times.

Thanks again for your ongiong cooperation.
