Three days in a row is kinda like, a problem

No mail sunday... no mail yesterday for New Years.. no mail today for a dead ex-president. Doesnt make sense, we already have one dead president holiday this month, did we really need two?

I guess somebody should have told Ford to die on a better date so it didn't hit 3 days. Maybe they'll try that with Carter.

In the future all ex-presidents should plan their deaths a little more conveniently.

I had an uncle that delayed surgery until after the xmas holiday season "just in case" so he would not spoild everyone else's week.

or maybe the government should stop and think about how not receiving mail can affect more than just the latest issue of playboy coming, therefore honor the dead president in other ways that don't disrupt such a important service

Do people still USE mail? Hell, most of my stuff is done online. I usually only check my mailbox once a week any way. Sure, I get some magazines and stuff, but I can go an extra day w/o reading National Geographic :) Important stuff comes FedEx or UPS.

So the federal government closed down for ONE WHOLE DAY IN YOUR ENTIRE LIVES for Ford. You'll live through it!!

I would guess the vast majority of the people in this country couldn't care less if there's no mail today - it doesn't take "smart" to figure that out.

I had to postpone a property closing that would have put a tidy sum into my bank account and I'm cool with waiting a day. Just because your Vicodin's a day late doesn't mean you're going to wither up.

Considering it's not ever going to be a working site, I'd guess it's doing OK for a "start". Do you really think I'd keep the URL the same after people I hardly knew found out about it?! LOL! Sharky and I are already putting together a new skin for the new URL :)

My board will be strictly for friends to hang out at - I'm not accepting advertising and I didn't have to take out a second mortgage on my house in order to start it :1orglaugh It will merely replace the ICQs and emails I'm currently using to correspond with friends who are also friends of each other :) Trying to communicate 1 thing between 20+ people gets tiresome. Easier to spend a few dollars and have a place we can all meet.
