From a media perspective is Saddam`s hanging bigger news than Princess Diana`s death?

Not that I particularly care, but I had to listen to my woman cry for DAYS about Diana. I was so glad when that shit was over.

Funny - so far we have 3 people who don't care - but obviously they are in a minority otherwise there would be no story - duh?? :winkwink:

Of course it's a friggin story - for several reasons:

(a) top reason - morbid public curiosity, - tho that would have more star quality if it ended in decapitation. Not much has changed since the black lynching times - just a different locality.

(b) genuine interest over issues in Iraq. The execution spoke volumes between the lines - and odds on that there will be plenty more "insurgents" in Iraq and a few heading westwards. It also says a lot about the new "democracy" and the next set of "partners" the US is sleeping with. They are no different from Saddam - more thugs and killers.

(c) Iraqi's may be interested in seeing proof of an execution.

No; Diana's death was a surprise, Saddam's was not.

Diana's death was a bigger story, much bigger.

Saddam's death also surprise...
