Cheney, speaking of how important pardons are...
"It was this man, Gerald R. Ford, who led our republic safely though a crisis that could have turned to catastrophe," said Cheney, speaking in the Capitol Rotunda where Ford's body rested in a flag-draped casket. "Gerald Ford was almost alone in understanding that there can be no healing without pardon."

I need one. Will they be handing them out. That way, if I get it, I may still be able to get into the pearly gates. :)

somehow i read HARDONS not PARDONS =] |
For those who didn't know, Cheney was the Chief-of-Staff for Ford.
Basically, Ford only got the Presidency after he agreed that he would pardon Nixon right away. The pardon was not so much to heal the nation as to cover up the corruption of the Nixon administration and the Republican party. Rumsfeld and Bush Sr. also were given posts by Ford. Cheney pulled Ford's strings, Bush Sr. pulled Reagan's, and now it has been Cheney pulling Bush Jr's strings (with Daddy in the background). ADG Webmaster |
