when i added the 20" to the set-up it was a bit weird .. i have a 17"-20"-17" and i love it now that I'm used to the 20"

I would have chosen the LG L204WT at that price: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...gon=&langid=EN
It's a bit smaller but the spec looks better...

jeffrey 12-30-2006 01:43 PM

Congratulations! Maybe you should get your eyes checked, I don't think a new monitor should be hurting them.

Thanks for posting the link, I think I am going to get one ;-)

Yeah Jman, they're pretty nice. Grab one.

As a rule of thumb the 1st thing to do when you get an lcd it to lower the brightness. By default they are wayyy too bright and really do hurt the eyes.

battle boner! 22 vs 2 19s.... id go 2 19s

GeorgeM 12-30-2006 03:29 PM

no DVI ???

Mutt 12-30-2006 03:33 PM

i got a 21" LCD about 3 weeks ago - talk about getting used to, everything looked so different and in my opinion worse - so I went back to my ol' 19" CRT monitor after a couple of days. With the LCD everytime i changed my head position or angle the colors looked different and with the LCD i became really aware of the little squares that make up the picture - plus since it was more high res than what i've been used to jpeg photos that looked good on my CRT when I looked at them on the new monitor the crap that jpeg compression does to them is way more noticeable.

maybe i got a bad monitor?

I'd rather get two regular 17" (4:3) and one widescreen 20.1" (16:9) than one 22" or two 19".

did you have the resolution set for the native res of the screeen?
I cant understand how something with higher res then your old monitor would have more visible pixels.
I can not get a "color shift" regardless of how I move.
I would say monitor was bad or user error.

madawgz 12-30-2006 04:38 PM

make sure to tone down the brightness....that fucked up my head

Vitasoy 12-31-2006 01:45 AM
