Why are you celebrating he did nothing to the USA ?

Sarah_Jayne 12-29-2006 05:17 PM

Stepping aside from who it actually is for a second the death watch feels so odd and makes me uneasy. On one level I am a news addict and am interested for those reasons and want to follow but on the other level I feel sick for sitting here waiting for somebody to be killed.

Uhhhh - perhaps you forgot that he helped hide the people who killed thousands of people from 9/11 - Perhaps you forgot the first Iraq war - Perhaps you have forgotten the war before he was outsted.... and you type that? lol

Anyways. The news is saying BEFORE DAWN 6am IRAQ time ... So I guess that means it could be the next 2-3 hours

while I do agree he did nothing to Americans (that we know of), anytime an evil man is given his due we should all celebrate

for example, and in no way related, just because a child molester raped children in Africa, does not mean everyone around the world should stand up and clap when his balls and dick get cut off

So why are the US backing ( very light word ) the warlords in Somalia, the same warlords who killed many of your compatriots .... ?

What has he done, we funded him. We put him in power, when he was killing all those people the US under Reagan still did business with him. Dont believe the bullshit . The pic of him and Rumsfield shaking hands was during the time he was killing all those people.

what does that have to do with my hypothetical situation? because I used Africa as the example? ok, change that to Sweden then

it was just an example of how evil men need to pay for their crimes, no matter where the crimes took place

Why do you think that? Bush has horribly low approval ratings. You don't think people are concerned about Bin Laden, Afghanistan and how things have went in Iraq, the lack of WMDs etc? I think its safe to say that plenty of people are pissed off about it.

Scottish Guy 12-29-2006 05:35 PM

here we fucking go can't get a decent conversation going about the news without someone bringing up 9/11 it happened YEARS ago get fucking over it already

every single country on the planet is hypocritical in its policies and behaviors. every single country on the planet does what it feels is in its best political, economic and security interests at the time, based on the information/circumstances that exist at that time. you are so weak minded and simplistic that you think you are actually proving something that matters in 2006 by showing ties to Iraq decades ago which were based on very different realities of the time, in that country and the region.

not sure why you feel the need to be such a moron in continually singling out one countries hypocrisy when its everywhere. now... please take Celine Dion back and shut the fuck up.

Webby 12-29-2006 05:39 PM

Ironic that the execution of Saddam will also accompany a few more revenge street killings of both innocent Iraqi's and US troops.

chartgraves:
Why don't you buy a few extra bottles of champagne for the other Iraqi's and US folks who will be lying in the morgue with their brains blown out? Idiot.

I agree

But I think the american government picks what ethics they want to follow and what ones they don't I aint anti american but ffs if you are gonna go to war with someone because of what they have done to other countrys go to war with every country that does they should not pick and choose based on who is flavour of the month

macmark 12-29-2006 05:41 PM

I'd much rather see Bush, Blair or Cheney executed.

I'm quite sure they deserve it too.

Because other countries don't wrap themself in a flag of morality and democracy, as the USA does ....
Just like here when the execution is now justified by the killing of the kurds, for which by the way he has not been judge on ...

In a very near future, Americans will be doing the kurd killing ... very soon.

i believe she is the highest paid performer in the country. i saw a show about it... it was crazy money... i wasn't really paying attention, but i remember the sum of 84 million. i think thats what the show in Vegas grossed in a year.

Bryan Adams has graced the UK with his residency as of late...and yes, it feels odd to mention that in a thread like this.

Anyway, I have never understood celebrating anybody's death. It feels different to not be upset that somebody is dead and to cheer their murder. It isn't even about the individual case but about the whole image of people clapping for murder that makes me feel dirty.

to be honest, i would have to agree to some extent. america has always been about promotion of a dream and the embodiment of a set of ideals that never really existed to any greater degree here, than in most of the western world.

I surely do .. as much as I don't blame troops for the situation, but those in power who sent them there.
But the post was using countries , so it qualifies.

An international court could have gave the same result, without the apperance of " fixing "... Often, the appearance of something is worst than the actual something.
