Maybe you should be asking your hosting company this question.

I am renting the server for personal use, they rent me the server and thats

if you are that uncertain then you shouldn't do this on your own as you will just be setting up an easy target and will get rootkitted / spamboxed. Get a real host who knows what they are doing, after all if your host is not there you have no chance of making an online living.

cheers,
Luke

Tell the host to push the turbo button on the back of the server near the monitor plug. This will enable the domain hosting protocal. Alot of hosts are unaware of this feature. Keep in mind though that your server will go through nearly 25% more processor fluid as a result.

a dedicated, even unmanaged, is normally delivered to the client with the OS installed....
If you have no Control Panel ( pretty dumb if you are not a pro ), you have to add domains thru a ssh session ...

Have fun, or make yourself a favor:

ask your provider to add a Control Panel ( WHM,Cpanel, or DirectAdmin, ...) .
