just seen it and the movie sucks. if you watch the trailer you see all it there, something like the russian movie night watch.

Very good movie. Not what I expected. Very story driven with the fantasy inserted at just the right times. Well done!

I read about it in American Cinematographer and it looks visually amazing

It is. I can't believe it was made for like only $19 Million. The creatures in it were amazing and when you see it, you'll know what I am talking about.

awesome movie i honestly could have sat there and watched for another 2 or 3 hours the story was that good. i wish they had made the movie longer or focused a bit more of the story on the other world. Very cool special effects, some gore, but overall a great fantasy/horror with a great story.

If you didn't see the previews/trailer, then see it. That was the pretenses under which I saw it, and I thought it was decent. The friend I went with however saw the previews, thought it would be a totally fantasy-filled movie, only to be completely disappointed. To the movie's credit, some of the fantasy stuff that was in it was pretty cool. I dunno, kind of a letdown considering the massive hype from movie critics.
