Question for the snowboarders...
When you travel, do the airlines charge you extra for your snowboard because of the size/length?
|
Well I get charged extra for the size/length of my penis so I would say ya'll should for a snowboard :pimp

I havent, but things might have changed, its the same as golfclubs really.
When you pack your board put a towel around it so the edges are all covered. First time I flew with my board I had to buy a new bag because one of the edges cut through, and it was a good bag from burton too (RED i think actually) |

|
Hi, snowboarder is here :)
No, they do not charge extra for the snowboard as far as I know. Hey, has anybody enjoyed snowboarding this season? I haven't :( No snow around (at least no snow worth speaking of). |
They usually don't, but they've tried to charge me a couple times. Each time its happened, its been on my return flight, and they try to tell me its standard policy. Then I follow up with a question about why I wasnt charged for it on the way out, and have never actually had to pay it.
If you have an bigger than usual snowboard bag, they might charge you too. |
It depends on the company you fly with actually. I never got charged though...
Enjoy...im in Quebec and we have no snow whatsoever..its raining, +6 or something...its crazy ! Even the artificial snow doesn't stand a chance. I skied 3 times and thats it, on half a mountain cause the rest was on rocks ! Its worst in Europe, they are going nuts without snow ! Anyway, Have fun !:thumbsup |
no, you won't get charged (at least i never have by flights originating in Canada).
One piece of advice though...you should wrap your bindings in a towel or something soft and do up all of the straps because otherwise you'll likely be having to fix them when you get to where you are going. if you are taking two or more boards i would take just one set of bindings (for the same reason) |
