google sucks now
 

This last update has to be one of the worst I've seen from google. The listings are full of a handful of useful sites then the rest are nothing but fucking spam.

One of my main listings with a page that's been online since 2001 and had several top keywords that were on topic and content filled pages that were not spam. With this update I went from top 1-5 listings on good keywords to pages 4 and back and some I can't even find.

Looks like the same happened to several of my competitors for the same keywords with the exception of a few.

Seems like 50% if not more of the new listings are useless spam pages.

Anyone else see the same shit with this last serps re-listing? Normally when this shit happens it normally goes back to normal within a day or so, but it's been this way for a few days now.

I can deal with losing listings for newer sites but a site that's been stable in the top spot for several years shouldn't take that kind of hit. Specially when it's very on topic. Google needs to get their shit together. I'm betting even the surfers are pissed with a update like this.

yes - i was searching for some friend's sites at the listings were total shit - not only spam but links to rss feeds, stat counters and just a bunch of junk in general -

some of my sites got punished - some look better - some the same -

although i agree this is one update the surfers will hate - o good oppotunity for yahoo and msn to grab back some users ...

Yea I'm about to say fuck it and just start spamming the serps like everyone else with disposable domains. When you play by their rules and get bent over for nothing what's the use of being nice.

I always thought, don't shit where you eat, but seems they don't give a shit so might as well join the club.

I know, I saw some stuff knocked from #1 all the way down to #2.

I have faith that we will return though.

Same happened to me (and may other people with good sites). They think it was a google fuck up.

I just checked the keywords I was referring to above, and yeah, we are back at number 1.

That was a shakey 72 hours.

yea I got back one of my keywords so far but it was one of the least imporant ones. The most imporant one I'm listed on page 7 still and another I still can't even find my listing.

I've been toying with the idea as well...

i had really good good position with my titblog for a good 3 week stretch, was #2 on a great search term, that was sending me several hundred hits a day, now i'm not even first 10 pages, that blog took a SEVERE traffic hit. shitty for me...

I just got some #1 listings for solo model names on msn, yahoo and altavista(i didn't even know they were still around) while my google spots for the same names have fallen.

but hey soon wikipedias SE will be up :)

actually there WAS a data push we all are talking about, but it was on 20th of December, now a week later, things seem to be back to normal. Although, don't be surprised to get hit again with such an update ;) That's how the big G handle its data ;)

no need to worry, everything would be back to normal very soon. just be patient. those great serps we were talking about would be nothing more than reality in a week or so, i'm 100% sure! so, patience only!

Google is way to wild, They put me on spot 1 the next day drop me to 30 and then back to 1 the day after.

This is Google marketing at it's best. I lost a shitload of traffic during the xmas season.

So I had to pump up all my adword campaigns!
