no?????????

Pimpin_J 12-28-2006 04:20 AM

No, there are atleast 10 different porsches parked in my street so its not exotic at all.

tranza 12-28-2006 04:28 AM

I don't think so.

Vlad 12-28-2006 04:30 AM

yes , it is. depends which model , which year.

Vlad 12-28-2006 04:31 AM

it's ok :)

not the fastest porsche but definatelly ok :1orglaugh

I more like

2006 Gemballa Mirage Evolution
1994 Schuppan 962CR
1994 Dauer 962 LeMans
1996 Porsche 911 GT1
1992 DP 962
those are from 1 mil up to 2 mil $$ cars

a bit cheaper , but still exotic ...

2003 Porsche Carrera GT
1990 Gemballa 911 Mirage

How about Porsche 928 ? :)

Ahh , and btw , there is one Porsche designed for Hitler , it's gonna be up for sale on Retromobile 2007 , experts say it's pass $15 mil usd mark.

macmark 12-28-2006 04:49 AM

The Turbo and GT's are exotics I'd say. But there are probably too many 911 Carrera's to say those are.

BIGTYMER 12-28-2006 05:56 AM

I'd say it depends on the model.

phonesex 12-28-2006 05:59 AM

911 is a kick ass car. But much depends on the model. Anything "S" and up especially Turbo.

how do you know?
just because they are advertising those cars on the internet it doesnt mean that they have all those cars in place.
in fact they dont.
i use to go there every few weeks, as it is not far away from here and i regularly go clubbing in singen.
my point is, they dont have many exotics there.
they have a carrera gt, a few ferraris and lambos and a few porsches and lots of oldtimers there. thats it.
i know dealerships that are worth 10 times of what auto-salon-singen is worth and that sell like 20 times more than singen.
perfect example is when i sold my F430 the guys wanted to check another F430 in singen the other day... one day after they came back and told me that singen didnt have a single F430 in place, so they took mine.

sure its not a bad dealership but WAYYYYYY overrated.

Klen 12-28-2006 07:07 AM

Porsche looks great but i would still more preffer lamborgini no matter what someone will say.

if you want it in your garage to jerk off twice per day to it, then i agree, go with lamborghini.
if you want to drive your car and NOT die in it because of low quality manufacturing, then go with anything else BUT lamborghini

4Man 12-28-2006 07:14 AM

It is pretty awesome.

23yrOldVirgin 12-28-2006 07:35 AM

Porsche has become less exotic since the boxster, making it easier for any old sod to finance themselves there own porsche

so how did they take all the pics? they sell them on commission?

that could be possible for sure, since they have export prices all over

never thought of that

yes maybe they bring the cars to take the pics, but after that they are gone.
they 95% sell their cars on commission.
tried to do the same with my 430.
they have like 5% of the cars they advertise in place.

I agree for sure.. you can get a carrera for 70k while a modestly loaded 911 twin turbo will easilly cost 135k and up.
I personally think the boxter was a bad move for porsche.
Duke

Major (Tom) 12-28-2006 08:00 AM

An owner of a lambo murcielago wont have nice things to say about the gallardo, so I guess its all releative in what is an exotic or not.
Duke

Rochard 12-28-2006 08:14 AM

Boxers are a dime a dozen. But otherwise, yes, Porsche is an exotic.

Duke

And a Diablo owner will say he is the last of the Lamborghini purists..so, you are correct. It's all relative.

But to answer the original question.I think when porsche started the 996's they lost some of their exotic status. The exceptions would be the GT2 and 3's. Even the 996tt's were over produced and the values on those today have tanked.Right now you can buy one for less than a clean 993TT.

gt2 and gt3 is priced much less than a 2007 911 twin turbo.

but i will agree in saying those carreras need to go back to the scrap yard. Everywhere i look there is a carrera or a boxter. But i guess its the same thing with a mustang vs a mustang shelby. a 911 twin being the later.
Duke

Brad Mitchell 12-28-2006 01:17 PM

c4, turbo, gt, those are all exotic IMHO. I think that a regular 911 loosely falls into that category - they certainly become more interesting as a cabriolet :)

Brad

carol.prime 12-28-2006 01:20 PM

Hell NO!

Big Red Machine 12-28-2006 01:29 PM

geez with all this defending Porshe it may make people think Duke just order a Yellow 911 Twin Turbo.......lol

cheekycherry 12-28-2006 02:13 PM

Nope... Common... And to the average guy, they wouldn't know how expensive they are because of this fact.

xNetworx 12-28-2006 02:45 PM

911's are common in Arizona but the GT is a definate exotic
