After all of the presents were opened & I visited with the folks, I decided to take a little hike up North Mountain here in Phoenix.

It's right across the street from The Pointe; Tapatio Cliffs. I usually do a trail that starts at North Mountain Park which is at 7th St & Peoria, but there are several different trails. :thumbsup
I like this one because it is quick, but it's all uphill (straight up, not a lot of flat areas, you know what I mean) so it's good cardio!

I love hiking! My fiance and I have started doing more mountain biking though. Our last trip into the Estrella's his front tire got nailed by a rattlesnake. One of the things I don't like about hiking and biking in this area.

Camelback is the best. I do that one too since Rock lives right there, we go together a lot, but North is about 2 minutes from my place so it's convenient.

I am a true lover of the Hike... and I love taking my dog along on different trails in and around Los Angeles! So much fun.

There are some seriously beautiful vistas and nature spots around LA that render me bewildered that I am actually in an urban city when I'm out hiking by a stream, surrrounded by trees, flowers, and quiet. :)

nice view! I also love hiking but I only do it once in a while, most probably once every two months. I don't have much time...

I used to enjoy it when i lived in another country. But now i am in the mountain region - too high for me to climb the heels. Too big pressure.

That was in the Blue Mountains in N.E. Oregon. Right by Lake Anthony.

We were trying for a 9000 ft peak in that area but the snow was pure sugar and it was near impossible to make any kind of distance..so we picked a knob to camp on and enjoyed the views.
