Most of them that have usb on them are for the still camera not for video. For capturing you are best with firewire.

Can you even get firewire shit on a laptop?

FIREWIRE -> USB -> PC

Does that exist?

You'll have to get a firewire pcmcia firewire card.

Shitty, I don't have an open spot for a card like that.

Thanks though <3

More than likely if your laptop doesnt have firewire port its not likely to be able to handle capturing too well. Is your hardrive more or less than 5400rpm?

My grandmother got a run of the mill digital camera today, and it actually takes videos and uploads avi's with a USB cord.

What's a good one like that? I mean, she randomly got one.

Good picture quality, audio a little shitty, but decent enough.

makes dvds dont have to worry about firewire

Domain Distribution 12-25-2006 09:43 PM

yeah but i want it to save internally to an hd and then have usb cable support for transfering to my box

Domain Distribution 12-26-2006 02:30 PM

even if it only has like a 30 minute maximum hd capacity, i just need something that has an internal hd and has usb support

either that or a usb/firewire converter setup

somebody here has to know this stuff, it's jibberish to me
