Agreed.
However, it's not a broad sweeping generalization. Somethings are actually related to something industry wide... Processors, certain programs, traffic sources, among other things.
So it's understandable why someone during trouble shooting steps would ask to see if it's something on just their end, requiring a reinstall. Or something more wide spread.
However, I agree some of the things we all see that are not remotely business related, you have to ask, "WTF"!??!
