What's the easiest way to do this in wordpress?
I've got 20 or so thumbnail images in my sidebar that link to sponsers. I want to randomize the order in which they appear on each page load.

i think their is a random plugin, or you could just write a mini php script and call it from the sidebar

Yeah, there are a ton of "randomness" plugins. I'm sure there HAS to be one to fit this. plugins.wordpress.org i think.

It doesn't need to be a "plug-in." Write a few lines of php to randomize an array containing your thumbs & links. Then use a php include to show the results in a sidebar.

Yeah you can make a link category, associate image with each link, put it in the sidebar with "getlinks_byname" or whatever the call is and set the category to random, look it up on the codex for the details
