What's the best new or current video games?

PC, XBox, or PS3 only

Well for me the last few years it was World of Warcraft. I'm trying to find a replacement that doesn't take up quite so much time. I was hoping for something more like Socom or Socom2 so yesterday I bought BattleField 2142 and I'm checking that out. Has anyone played that in comparison to the new Call of Duty 3 or Gears of War? I put in a couple hours last night and I'm not quite sure yet. I don't know if I'll ever find my Socom2 replacement

Madden Football is about all I play.

Hell ya... We use to play the shit out of that game. We would have full on tournaments and stay up all damn night.

I refuse to play any more online games, I've lost weeks of work because of it!

Age of Empires III does it for me

Well i have played MMO since 2000, starting Daoc, Eve-online, and offcourse WoW

but for a couple of weeks now im playing EQ2 with the new expansion Echoes of Fayder.

the price is very cheap (30$ or so, with EQ2+3 expansions) and i must say very well worth it.

good pvp servers and the pve and questing completely blows WoW out of the water

i like it, many people seem to switch from wow to it, and the servers are packed.

and the good thing is, you can play it very casual!

Halo 2. Gears of War. F.E.A.R, and Call Of Duty 3 are all awesome games.

I believe the first 3 are strictly xbox360 titles. Gears of War even lets you play cooperatively online with another person in campaign mode.

Nothing beats WoW. Burning Crusade comes out soon, so I'm sure everyone's WoW addictions will be back with full force.

what i hate is BC brings everyone back to zero.. the hardcore raiders who are pro at the game and spent months beating naxx, are now no better geared than some noob who has only a couple hundred hours played

It's not bringing people back to zero, there will be no hard reset. Level definitely won't be reset, the only thing that will get reset are the ranks (because they are revamping the honor system). You get to keep your previous rank title and gear and whatnot from it... new system isn't going to be ladder based (thusly you shouldn't have to pvp 13 hours a day to obtain top rank).

Notabook you are only talking about PVP. PVP gear sucks now anyways. I got HWL last year and the gear sucks now. I don't use a single peice.


a1ka1ine, BD does bother me in some ways too. I mean leveling back in the day and ganking was fun. But this time around it will be guild groups out leveling together. I spent the last year in Naxx to get another full set after AQ, BWL, MC.. it's like starting over each time and that sucks. I need a new game :P

Zelda Twilight Princess WII

I just put in 2 hours on Battlefield 2142 single player.... After Christmas I'll have to check out the multiplayer :)

But who knows, I also have here and haven't tried yet Gears of War... anyone played both of those and can compare?

lol, I wanted to go bad. The last time I was golfing was when you were down for Thanksgiving. I looked at weather.com and saw that it was going to be 41 degrees and 10mph winds when we T'd off... fuk dat nigga

ive played both and here is my assessment. Battlefield is good for sheer number of players but Gears is more fun in the fact that the tactics really come into play over XBL for killing an opponents team

I like City of Villains but am going to try WoW next.

Yea, I'm messing with 2142 now. I never played Battlefield2 at all but it looks cool. I hate joining a game late cuz you just get pwnd. I'll be checking out Gears tomorrow. Seems like it might be pretty cool. I just really want my Socom2 replacement :(
