If you didn't see PART#1 of this thread go read it first or you will be confused

Ok first i will share with you the method.. and explain a bit about how it works , some of you will already know much of this some not.

ok i should clarify here that you dont need to do this with the rest of gfy , you can simply take the free method and do your own thing with it thats fine i dont mind. your welcome.. but i think sharing this idea will help everyone make more money by sharing each others files , thus making the files seem popular..

Here is the file creator http://gfy.webspacemania.com/create/

Just enter the url you want to popup in the video and hit create , a file will be created for you to download.. click save and save to desktop.. The file will be named SAMPLE-NAME-www.site-to-popup.com-secretkeyblahblah.wax

So all you have to do is rename the file to whatever you want ( but remember to leave the secretkey on the end of the filename

ok now once you have the file downloaded open up notepad and drag the file into it and ill explain what it does..

Inside is a simple asx file, you will notice several elements that are self explanatory , ill go over the important ones..

a really simple tag would look like this

in the example you will notice 2 other elements called "banner href" and "moreinfo href" this is a banner that will be displayed on the bottom of the video

a simle asx entry with a banner would be as follows


Ok now inside you will notice a link to an swf file , this is the key to the popup so do not alter this line other than to change the where the popup goes.

Because the loader is an swf and has to be hosted somewhere i will skim 1% of traffic to a random spacash(adult) site , if you know how to build your own flash loader your welcome to host it yourself and not get any skim, or i can build you your own flash loader for your site and you can host it..

as it stand the video file simply goes straight to a popup, but if you wish to provide real content inside the video you can also do that simply by adding another entry line just above the entry line already in the file with a link to the video like this

or you can string multiple files like this


ok now a bit about p2p

you will notice the file is a ".wax" file you can also rename it to .asx and it will work just the same both are not widely recognized so not narly as nice as having a .wmv or .mpg but this will work anyways if enough people are sharing the files as they do show up as video/audio liks in limewire etc. I also have .wmv and .mpg versions but i dont have a builder for them so as your searching if you notice an mpg file or wmv with the secret key in it , download it share it copy it and open in notepad , shanging the popup url just like above ( the file will appear different but works the same way , )

more tips

You will notice the file is quite small, many people searching p2p have it set to only search files above say 5 mb , you can alter the size of your file by repeating the line that says "repeat me" in the file, i suggest creating a few sets , small ones medium and large..

Tips on sharing..

Be carefull , when searching for the "secret key" you will find other files shared by other blackhatters that mimic our files , its important not to download these files.. its also important never to open any of the files directly unless you have first opened them in notepad. NEVER download pictures or EXE's only .asx .wax .wmv .mpg .avi and even these you always open in notepad first to verify nothing is funky.

Ok so once you have downloaded and are sharing your file , strat downloading other peoples fils by searching for the secret key at the end of the filename you downloaded. this is VERY important as this will boost your and their ratings..

NOT JUST p2p

You can also use this method in webpages to spawn popups in firefox or ie7 simply by using <embed src=http://yoursite.com/yourfile.asx> spawn exits by scripting the embed to load at exit.

p.s. when you first start searching for the secret key you wont notice anyone sharing but fake files , remember not to donwload these. give it some time.

Also keep in mind this builds slowly so at first you wont get many hits but as the amount of people sharing your files increase so will the hits , and once you have gotten good spread you could turn off your computer and continue to get hits for a long time as other share the files , but of course the more you share the more hits you get

p.s.s.s. many major record labels hire networks of filesharers to share "fake" copies of their copright music to both dilute the content and track users who download or attempt to download their copyright material..

I'm sure some big porn sites would be more than happy to work with one of you to share their copyrighted material and send the traffic to them..

i.e. if bangbros hired 20 people to each share 1000 of these files above, all with copyright names of their models/site they would bring more traffic to the actual site and dilute actual content found on p2p.

ask mark what he thinks about this and maybe he will answer... i won't, but i will say, yes you will generate traffic but not as much as one thinks...

there is a reason why most gfy'rs make less than 5k a month and this is one of them...

its not a comment meant to belittle people, but at the end of the day, it takes money and the skills that money affords to cross the line from a mediocre 1-5 sale a day webmaster to 25-100 sales a day....

I did a test with the .wax file, edited everything, put a movie in there etc.. After that I played the filed both with windows media player and with VLC.

In Windows Media Player it played the video and showed the banner at the bottom, but it did not pop up anything when the video finished.

In VLC it played the video (no banner since VLC has no space for that). Once the video was done it tried to pop something up, but it gave me the following error.

"Unrecognized format for 'http://gfy.webspacemania.com/out/LOADING.swf?in=www.test.com&x=hi.swf'"

on some systems it may do that, thats about the best advice i can give. i should have mentioned this only works in windows media player, Try renaming the file to asx and see what happens or try embeding it on a page <embed src=file.wax or file.asx>

well to be honest and frank i didnt say how big i thought it is :)

this as with many thigs i mentioned is not a miracle traffic cure.. This is A method one would use to start to get into the p2p game.. if you already do p2p , this is fairly useless method as you already have a method , thats why i shared it .. its a "stepping off" point for people . combine this with a keywrd generated builder and your laughing your way to the bank..

So yes if your already making over 5k a month i suppose this method isnt usefull to you unless you think outside the box and assume there are 100 people not making 5k who would be willing to make 5k and in the process make you 100k..
No offense taken, i appreciate the opinion , what you say is very true. but
like i said for those not in the p2p game gotta start somewhwre right.. so maybe you only make 1k a month for doing basically nothing you build from there.. double what your doing , some costs involved perhaps , another computer etc .. same with any other area..

ok, I renamed it to .asx and still no popup.

you can name .asx files .mpg if you want and they will work. I think, its been a awhile since I did that.

p.s. i should also mention , there are lots of other p2p people that might not like the competition so you may hear a few bad comments to scare you away from trying.. try to take all advice in stride. if it sounds foolish treat it as so , if it sounds valid , learn from it ( no offense to marketsmart as i think his questions were valid and had good solid points )

Yep I just tried it. I know it will work if you have your server setup to do it though. I did it before but I was on a differant setup then. Its been a few years.

I got everything working and setup but when I search for the secret key in limewire it shows nothing. Is that because nobody else is sharing there's yet?

anyone have success changing the file size via the 'repeat this line' thing?

I copied it a ton of times and got my files up to around 2 meg.

I haven't seen the line or format yet, but I'd assume you'd have to copy it a hell of a lot to build up the file size.

another tip i should mention is describing your files your sharing in limewire..

add your keywords and the secret key in the dezscription fields for the file

to do this go to the "library" window in limewire , highlight the shared folder on the left and right click on the file in the window on the right and click "describe"

p.s. do not download wma files . only wax asx mpg wpl avi mpeg and wmv

yup you do.. 1 letter = 1 byte so 1000 letters = 1kb so 1mb = 1 million letters

so the line is prob 20 long that would be about 40mb if you repeated it 2million times but thats fine

Plus, you can add <Title></Title> tags, and I think it's better to enclose all the tags in <ASX Version = "3.0" ></ASX> tags.
