Which one of you is responsible for this?

Kind of a funny story. A woman bought a Microsoft Zune and gave it to her kid as a present. It ended up having a bunch of gay porn on it. She went back to Walmart where she bought it and they blamed Microsoft. The woman thinks it was a returned unit because there was no charging cord in the box.

note to Walmart, you might want to check those in the future to make sure the returns are actually empty :)

Screaming 12-21-2006 01:54 PM

boy alley had to return his zune?

poor guy

scottybuzz 12-21-2006 01:54 PM

sicone 12-21-2006 01:55 PM

That kid is scared for life now.

Wal Mart needs to check the returned items better. I bought a printer there a few weeks back and the install software and the ink were both missing

I like the 25$ gift certificate
I say she gonna turn around and sue
but get it settled out of court
which still means she makes some $$$$

borked 12-21-2006 03:15 PM

I don't find that particularly funny.
Sorry, the kid was 12 years old and there was explicit pornography on it.

This is an adult business for a reason - children should not be exposed to explicit sex IMO. And no, I'm not a christian.
:2 cents:

I guess what I found funny about it is that it was obviously an item that was returned and they put it back on the shelf to sell it again and nobody had the idea that maybe they should double check it to make sure that nothing was on it.

Of course there is no way of knowing that she didn't load this stuff on it then take it back and claim it was already on it so she could sue.

I do agree - I doubt the 12 y/o girl could/would do that. Maybe her parents did it so they could sue. Maybe it's genuine.

Either way, it's not funny :disgust

--edit to clarify: I wasn't taking a stab at you or anyone else... just wanted to state the reason I didn't find it funny!

I think that's actually pretty easy no? I'm quite sure it's rather easy to see the dat it has been put on the "harddisk". She has a store receipt.
If date placed on player > Date on reciept = She placed it on there to sue or her 12yo son is courious about his secuality.
If date placed on player < date on receipt= Wallmart or MS fucked up big time.

Farang 12-21-2006 05:02 PM

yep you have a point. I guess they could look and see when it was added.

notabook 12-21-2006 05:22 PM

1. 12 year old female
2. Has access to the internet
3. Has a portable Hard Drive (Zune).

Then when man-on-man porn ends up on it people act surprised? Her mom found it on her Zune and asked where the fuck it came from and the kid said "uh, it came like this!".

...Or someone else returned it to Wal-mart and wal-mart didn't check to see what was on it.

pocketkangaroo 12-21-2006 05:28 PM

Don't most of these stories end up being the parent doing it looking for a quick lawsuit? I'm going to go with that one here. If it did happen, it's horrible. However, it seems like a lot of work for a prank that most likely would never be heard of if the national media didn't run with it.

It's December 21st, why does she have her Christmas gift?

pornpf69 12-21-2006 05:30 PM

that is old news, isnt it?

Scott McD 12-21-2006 05:33 PM

LOL !! That's gotta suck... :1orglaugh
