Transformers.. holy shit
 

I just watched the Transformer trailer, have heard nothign about this movie, didn't even know they were making it. Was expecting to see some stupid ass childrens movie... Holy fucking shit that movie looks like its gonna actually be pretty damn cool..

They've been hyping it for a while now.

2007 should be a pretty good year for the movies. Pirates, Spiderman, Shrek, Bourne, this, and of course many more.

this will be garbage... michael bay has turned this into an invasion movie.. it will be an awful story, awful direction and awsome effects.

I bet it will be a commercial success.

The cartoon was an invasion of sorts too, so not sure what you mean by "Turn this into"... The cartoon was about the Autobots and Decepticons crashing into Prehistoric Earth while trying to find the resources needed to send back to their planet. Only difference is that in the cartoon they laid dormant for until the volcano erupted during modern times... But if they followed that scenario it would seem like a total rip off from War of the Worlds.

The preview looks great, but I hold out little hope for any story line. Hollywood has been a dry well for fresh, well thought out and executed scripts for a while.

I am ok with it ... but the ONLY thing they have kept from the original is the fucking logo... lol

The characters are ALL completely different. Did you see Megatron? I mean ... update him sure ... but turn him into what he has been turned into? WTF... nah ...

Speilberg was like "yeah, I loved transformers... had the toys etc ..." And now he's allowing it to be butchered... lol... so much for the love of it...

Is it just me, or would anytime Aliens come to this planet and attack, it would basically be considered and invasion? What about that makes it automatically a bad movie? You prefer movies like Maximum Overdrive?? Where it's not an "Invasion" but the machines just attack?

Steven Speilberg rarely, if ever, puts his name on something that is going to be crap.

It's certainly a big challenge and responsibility to be able to please G1 fans while also making it something that entire families, young and old, will want to watch.

Either way, it's something we've never seen before and worth a look.
