Ive had a similar monster truck with 2 speeds and the gas engine. Pretty funny until something brokes which is happening a lot. You need a lot of nerves repairing it :( Mine costed around 700? with all the equipment. I have sold it again in about 3 weeks for like 400? but it was worth it :)

jblazed 12-20-2006 04:54 PM

ive never had one with gas/nitro, do they really go fast as shit

Scott McD 12-20-2006 05:07 PM

It's only sitting at $48. So you can't lose... ;-)

I have one kinda like that, Its an HPI racer 2 and I have a TransAm body.
With the OS max engine and remote it was like 900.

They are a blast, but if you get that one take those tires off and get the ones that look like slicks, they work 100x better then the ones that look cool, lol.
I have never clocked mine, but full out it goes fast enough that it lose track of it pretty damn quick. and once it gets going that fast when you turn hard it will either grip and fly into something you dont want it to, turn a bit then start to do rolls, or if your lucky it will do what you want. lol
I havent got the hang of full control at full speed yet. lol

Be prepaired to do repairs to it, I have done probably 300+ in repairs after crashes.

that looks like a cool toy

starpimps 12-20-2006 06:21 PM

thats sick

HHwebmonkey 12-20-2006 06:36 PM

Looks fun but not worth the hassle of repairs, and unless you've got someplace you can really let it rip, you run the risk of it having to be replaced, just cause it goes as fast as a real car doesn't mean other drivers will respect it's space, and I guarantee once it gets run over it's dust, save your cash and just buy a kick ass racing game!

StickyGreen 12-20-2006 07:07 PM

just_beginner 12-20-2006 08:22 PM

nice toy, but it's not for a long time...

Spunky 12-20-2006 08:29 PM

Had a buddy who raced them..can pay a lot for them like 1k and up for the good ones

96ukssob 12-20-2006 08:35 PM

I used to have one of these gas powered toys when i was younger. I used to race it at a track and it went over 40mph but i crashed it into the side walk because the radio signal dropped. it cost a crap load to fix (which i never did) but they are fun

Quinn 12-20-2006 08:46 PM

Looks like a good first car but never heard of that brand so getting replacement parts for it might be a bitch. You will crash it and you will crash it the first time you play with it.. but they are a blast!
