E-mails blocked by spam filters?

Anyone know why a completely innocuous e-mail, containing NO foul language or reference to sex would be sent to spam filters by major e-mail providers (like Yahoo and Gmail)

The domain and IP do not appear in any blacklists at all. These are legitimate e-mails (messageboard signup confirmations)

The site is new (since October)

I'm beginning to guess that it might have to do with the PICS label on the site but that's completely conjecture.

Starting a month ago, emails I send regularly to a friend of mine began disappearing, and with testing we found out that any time I had a URL in the body of the email, it was deleted as spam. Don't know if it was his provider or mine but it's annoying as hell. Makes me wonder how much of my email isn't getting through

Check which email programme you're using - mass-mailer type programmes often get flagged as do innocuous mailer User-Agent settings....

You need to check as well to make sure that your sending mail server matches the domain in your email address. Even some of the sponsors here decline mail if you mail them through your ISP with spamarrest as your return address.

Your domain, ISP, or host might also be on a spamlist.
