Last year was a cluster fuck

hey ya where in Alberta?
I'm in Edmonton.

I went last year and it was a waste, not bothering this year, well not vegas internext anyways.

FreeHugeMovies 12-19-2006 11:19 PM

Yes it will suck ass again. They should of issued a refund last year

AGP Albert 12-19-2006 11:28 PM

The Silvercash Team will be there. And to our knowledge it looks like the showroom floor is sold out!

I trust the AVN team has strategically made adjustments to the format of the show for speakers, events and overall coordination to fit the needs of attendees. There may have been challenges in the past, however it is important to communicate this to AVN. Constructive criticism is always welcomed.

For those who are attending, please stop by the Silvercash booth - we are in booth 401 and the main bar sponsor. I look forward to seeing you all there :)

thebossxxx 12-20-2006 12:00 AM

Please stop by I$ booth 509!

JasonB 12-20-2006 12:14 AM

I think they learned their lesson last year. Scheduling at the same time as AVN was a big mistake. This year should be better. Even if it sucks, Vegas is always a blast.

jacked 12-20-2006 12:20 AM

going to be my first vegas show, heard last year was horrible though

WWC 12-20-2006 12:21 AM

Yes, last year was horrible because the AVN video show was on the same days as Internext ... WWC had booths there and the show floor was very slow...but this year AVN ( AEE ) show is on Jan 10 - 13th and then Internext is Jan 15 - 17th..... looking forward to it!!!

Come visit us at Internext show Booth 208 and 210 !!!! Drinks on me :-)

RawAlex 12-20-2006 12:38 AM

Pluses and minuses all over. Vegas shows are becoming a real problem because more and more people are NOT buying badges, and are just hanging around the show entranceway trying to do buisness there. It was a major factor two years ago when AVN had a major badge registry clusterfuck that pretty much made it impossible to get a badge on day one. There were huge crowds of people in the hallway leading up to the show and they just never bothered to go in.

Many of the companies that for years took large booths and brought excitement to the floor are either out of business (think babenet, which were good for 30 x 30 or more every show) or have shrunk their presence down to minimum levels (think old CE boths... one year it was about 100 x 100... now close to 10 x 20). Consolidation, buyouts, and maturation of the industry mean there are less companies to take booths, and many companies have discovered they can get as much done just walking around rather than being locked into a single 10 x whatever space.

AVN is trying some novel stuff this year, particularly trying to "create" a hub bar area for people to hang out in, trying to get people to come in and stay in. Some private meeting rooms, and what appears to be stronger seminar tracks should help as well. Non-conflicting dates are a real bonus as well, finally getting away from the worst times in vegas for visitors (CES week), which should make Vegas just a whole bunch easier to live with.

The show floor may be sold out, but that is due to a restricted show floor space and not because of a major increase in exhibitors.

Combine that with other shows and events happening within 60 days of this show, and it might be slimmer pickings than normal.

I will miss it... unless a miracle occurs, and even then. The expense involved in these shows no longer comes back in bottom line.

BAKO 12-20-2006 12:58 AM

Its going to kick ass :)

NETbilling 12-20-2006 01:08 AM

I think Internext will be great. There are excellent sponsors and exhibitors, the Porn Poker Tour is going to be awesome once again and we have a 3 night hospitality suite with poker and booze as well. Come by the Netbilling booth right by "The hub" and let us how you why so many merchants use us as their primary processor.

It was, and granted, we have to overcome the perception of people who have one-track minds. For some, last year's experience will forever tarnish this show and they won't come back.

For those that are open-minded and actually take a look at the positive changes that were made to Internext, well, the answer to your question "will Internext suck this year?" is quite simply, no.

I think it will be the best show of the year, and I've been to just about every show this industry has to offer in the last two years.

No one in the adult industry has ever brought out a live adult domain auction or a panel with the star power that we'll have on opening day. Throw in Vegas, weeknight room prices, Ice Cube and the GFY warm-up party and I really don't know what more you could want from a show.

Big_D 12-20-2006 09:24 AM

not sure, hope i can make it

jact 12-20-2006 09:28 AM

I'm hopeful that they can pull it off. A lot of interest is shifting to the other shows after last year's Internext, so I guess it will depend on how open people are to the new format. I'll be there with keen interest.

Chris 12-20-2006 09:30 AM

i dont think it will be dead at all
it is freakin sold out ( show floor wise)

Don RELISH 12-20-2006 09:55 AM

Can anyone advise on which days are best for the show (ie. Opening night, or does it kick off towards the end?) I'm thinking of popping over but may have limited time hence would love to know when best to come.

Cheers guys.

Don

There's always the nagging possibility that they exhibitors will be the only people there, but I doubt that's realistic.

seeric 12-20-2006 10:00 AM

Interesting replies.

With all due respect, no online show touches PHOENIX FORUM. Not one.

All of the meetings are what you make of them. It looks like AVN has done a great job putting together a unique program. I am glad to see them thinking outside the box and trying to move the Internext format forward.

If anyone wants to meet with us from TheBestPorn.com at the show and talk business, please contact me on ICQ or email. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in January.

Happy New Years Everyone!

Did you guys offer refunds to those who had booths and who attended?

adamneve 12-20-2006 01:07 PM

PussyCash has been and will continue to be a major presence at Internext. As the sole registration sponsor and a corporate sponsor we have full confidence that Internext will definitely NOT suck!
We've always had success at Internext and we expect even greater success this year and in years to come.

Although last year was a bit slower than previous expos, this year will kick ass! As usual, PussyCash will have free live VideoChat at our booth and guest appearances by some of our VideoChat Hosts. Not to mention that I'll be there (woo hoo!) workin' it with the PussyCash crew.

Don't forget to visit us at booths #414. As major sponsors of this year's Players Ball, we've got tickets to give away to PussyCash webmasters who send at least one sign-up to any PussyCash site in December. We'll give out at least 200 passes so make sure you visit us early!

I agree with you, after last year and how dead Florida was, were passing on this years Internext. Saving all our energy and $$$ for Phoenix

4Man 01-04-2007 06:30 AM

Maybe not?!?!?

Methodcash Rick 01-04-2007 08:13 AM

I'll be there for sure, mainly to find out why it's taking 365billing over 4 months to get Visa approval for our sites that have gotten approval from other processors in 7 days, while their system had no problem taking my $750 immediately, not to mention the lack of response to emails.

Looking forward to see you guys..:disgust

that very well maybe - though for me it's not that I wont' ever come back - but I will give it another year or so before I can be convinced by those who went that it is now well worth the time, effort and money. the Florida internext show still to me has more business opportunities than vegas and I have been visiting that one for several years include last summer, despite my feelings about vegas

Pete-KT 01-04-2007 08:30 AM

with all the changes they have made should be a good show this year
