Chicken Stock
5 lb. chicken bones, rinsed well (2.5 kg)
20 cups cold water (5 L)
2 x carrots, chopped
2 x onions, chopped
2 x stalks celery, cut into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces
1 x stalk leek, sliced into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces
3 sprigs of fresh Italian parsley
1 sprig of fresh thyme
2 x bay leaves
1/2 tsp whole black peppercorns (2 mL)
3 cloves garlic, smashed

Directions:
Chicken Stock
Place the chicken bones in a stockpot and cover with the cold water.
Bring to a boil, skimming the fat and foam from the surface of the stock.
Add the carrots, onions, celery, leek, parsley, thyme, bay leaves, black peppercorns and garlic.
Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for 2 hours.
Cool slightly and strain the stock into a container; store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze up to 1 month.

Questrade.com is the best broker in canada in my opinion.

I don't think you'll find one similar to those offered in the US. In Canada, they love to overcharge us for everything.

That's not true. Times are changing. Even TD Waterhouse now offers $9.99 trades if you do 30+ trades a quarter. Questrade does trades for $4.95, interactivebrokers.ca is cheap too.

I use TDWaterhouse and it doesn't cost $35, where did you get that?

This is taken from their site for Canadian and US stock:

Stock Price Over $2
$29 Flat up to 1000 shares

3¢/share for orders over 1000 shares

Stock Price $2 & Under
1.5% of principal trade;
$29 minimum

If you make 30 or more transactions in a quarter it's a flat fee of $9.99 per trade.

I use interactivebrokers.ca , tdwaterhouse I have too but it's a rip off. A lot of big traders use interactive, they have an office in MTL too, and I use esignal for quotes.
