Who has the new version IE 7 installed?

Do you like the new browser?

I have not yet updated because I heard of many problems with Quickbooks 2005 not working with it... which is what I use.

Also some clients of mine complaining of JS scripts not working with it... so I am having to update Javascripts....

I usually just use Mozilla, but I always design my sites to be compatible with all browsers.

Do you like the new version? Have you had any problems like I described above?

zx35 12-19-2006 12:01 PM

Installed it today. Havent had any problems yet. Like it so far, nothing incredible but its okay.

spazlabz 12-19-2006 12:01 PM

I have had it since it was in beta (yeah, i'm brave or stupid)
I have not had problems with it although I do not use quickbooks

i like the new features especially the tabs.

It looks a bit weird, the other one was classical .. but after a while I got used to it ...

Magalie 12-19-2006 12:33 PM

Use it, like it...no problems so far.

AZSarah 12-19-2006 12:55 PM

I am a fan of Firefox as well, but I actually really like the new IE, not even really using FF now.

woj 12-19-2006 12:57 PM

I installed it, but don't really like it, sticking with firefox....

It's ok. I had to update after firefox started to crash on me.
A few things I've noticed. Target="_blank" is blocked as a popup (atleast with googlebar). Javascript errors on vBulletin.
Nothing I can't live without, but the target blank thingy worries me slightly, as most if not all my tgp's have that.

ADL Colin 12-19-2006 01:06 PM

I do but I still like FF better because of the toolbar folder.

if you remove the google toolbar and reinstall it will solve that problem.. :thumbsup

I have made about 4 or 5 installs of it so far without any issues. I don't use it regularly (sorry, too many microsoft security holes as it is, don't need more exposure) but for the limited testing I have done with it, it has been fine.

I didn't even think about conflicts with things like QuickBuck. Thanks for telling me about it, I won't be upgrading...

Sosa 12-19-2006 01:26 PM

I installed it on my desktop, haven't tried Quickbooks yet though.

Is the patch only for 2005? I think I'm using 2002 or 2003, I haven't upgraded in 3-4 years now.

ffmihai 12-19-2006 01:51 PM

Got Porn? 12-19-2006 02:23 PM

It sounds like its an upgrade for all quickbooks versions.... If you use quickbooks for estimates or invoicing I recommend upgrading... its worth the extra 150 bucks!!

Usually you can find rebates to upgrade for 100 bucks... the new features are extremly time-saving.

firefox had the tabs almost 10 months ago... its amazing it took IE this long to come out with a new version. It sucks that it screws things up... thats progress I guess.

bdld 12-19-2006 03:01 PM

it's alright but it loads too slowly. the tabbed browsing is what keeps me using it.

The only reason I really have the Pro version is to handle multiple currencies, I've never really had the need to upgrade and even though we do invoicing through it, it's been rather seemless so I've never upgraded. I never liked the idea of upgrading whenever Intuit feels like putting a new version :)

beta-tester 12-19-2006 03:13 PM

I've got it awhile ago on my laptop, but honestly I do NOT like it!!
It crashed couple of times, and any email link I click on firefox, opens around 30ish IE windows...dunno why's that though.....

Z 12-19-2006 03:33 PM

I've got it...but I use FF for my default. I only use IE if I absolutely have to.
