Wow, just saw ariel footage of the Damage to Stanley Park in BC :-(

Damn this is very sad, the Park took a Big it.

When I lived downtown the park was basically right in my back yard. Took walks there all the time.

Sad footage I saw.

Read about it here :http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...ub=CTVNewsAt11

Yeah I live in vanouver, and my neighbour's van got squashed by a tree. What a wicked storm. I slept through it of course. ;)

It was pretty rough here to be honest, but as usual, the local news makes everything that happens to this town seem like the end of the world as we know it.

We had a boil water advisory a few weeks ago due to heavy rainfall. It lasted maybe two weeks, and people were freaking out and stockpiling bottled water and canned goods. Two inches of snow brought the city to a halt a week after that. God forbid it snows during the 2010 winter Olympic games.

The west coast has been getting hammerd.. :(

Here on the East has been way above normal temps this time of year. The golf courses were open yesterday. On Dec 17! Unreal.

Sorry to hear about your park.
