What the hell do you guys have against Godaddy?
 

They are reasonably priced, their technical support is great. What do you want, for them to send over a prostitute to suck you off?

They actually call me every once and a while just to ask how things are goin... Thats fuckin cool man.

Reason why you think this?

Wait till you get one complaint on one of your domains, they will hold them hostage till you pay a fee to get control of them again even if the complaint isn't legit.

I've heard this two or three times. In each instance the webmaster was mailing, so who knows what the real story was.

I love GoDaddy.com... awesome support... they give you GREAT deals over the phone. Never had a problem ever.

I've never had any problems what so ever with godaddy

I only use Godaddy .Nearly 100 domains between myself and dusiness partner over the last few years . And have never has a problem. And cs rocks

i get a call from them every 2-3 months, too.. i have well under a 100 domains in that account

GoDaddy, like most registrars, are full of bullshit and clueless.

Can't remember the details now, but there was an issue about GoDaddy not liking a domain name (another registrar with an opinion) and there are plenty other problems. Can't say for their service, never used them and would not trust them.

I use GoDaddy and love it. I don't have too many domains with them but they always call me too and give me cheaper prices. Sometimes I dont wanna talk to them though lol And my domain name is pretty adult related and they don't seem to mind when they read it off haha

Bullshit. We have 100's of domains with GoDaddy that are adult and there has never been an issue.

In fact, in all the years we have used them, with the hundreds and hundreds of domains we own, we have never had one problem with them.

No shit, I signed up online, and dont want a fucking phone call. They pester the hell out of me to sell me some other shit of theirs...and their superbowl ads ard fucking dumb. now they are gonna pimp out danica patrick, that half assed, yet hot indy car driver chick...

The guy was obviously mailing...and reading that I noticed his English is horrible, which makes it even more suspicious. Don't believe everything you read. I've been dealing with GoDaddy for years and have never had even the slightest problem with them or their service. Their service is actually beyond excellent. And as a matter of fact, the last time their cs rep called me she even made a joke about my domain adultnook.com. :1orglaugh

i have around 130 domains with them, about 40% adult, and never one problem. Sometimes it gets kind of funny when they call me to renew a block of 10 domains or so and we go over names that are all porn related.

glad to see im not the only one whos been with them since the beginning and never had any problems. most of my domains are mainstream but they know i have adult domains on there and have never expressed any concern with it.

No.. It's not my example - it's the first sample pulled straight from a Google search. The reason I used it was it was a typical dialog with cretins.

From reading a dialog with a registrar and coming to the conclusion he was obiously mailing and a suspicious mailer because of his English, - takes a lot of clairvoyant capability. You need to check out the English here sometime :winkwink: Sure, who knows if he's genuine or not - but hey, all the GoDaddy complaints can't be fake.

I only have one problem with them. A while back I had a few domains with them and I decided to transfer some other domains I had with a different registrar to them. I go through the process and pay and then a day later I'm told that since the domains are due to expire within the next 30 days that I can't transfer them. Fair enough. I wanted to transfer them before having to pay the other registrar's higher price, but it looks like I will have to now. So I tell them no prob, just refund my money and I'll renew them at the other place then transfer them in a few months. They wouldn't refund my money and instead would only give me credit to spend with them. That's not right. I paid for a service, they then told me they couldn't provide that service and wouldn't refund my money. It was only around $100 but the principle of it pissed me off so I used the credits to buy some new domains then transfered them to a different registrar.

I don't need to know him, I can tell from the dialogue that he is being an condescending prick. Matter of fact, I think it actually shows their excellent service by the fact that they were calling him due to the fact that he was not responding to their emails. Seemed to me they were trying to help him, rather than hurt him. But he was, as do most guilty people, getting very defensive and threatening to transfer his domains, rather than just simply send a fucking email to the abuse department to clear up the problem.

Not sure Tony - there was some issued over an adult domain name which was a problem for GoDaddy. "Our beliefs" came into their TOS, but can't remember what the domain name was.
