Violetta 12-16-2006 12:29 PM

I do, and they are great!

frank7799 12-16-2006 12:38 PM

Iīm running three servers there and never had a reason to complain.

A small problem here and there, but no big issue.

Requests are answered in time. Ticket system takes a bit longer, but you can use live support for immediate help. And you can call them, thatīs a big advantage if there are serious problems which have to be solved.

Sarah_Jayne 12-16-2006 01:10 PM

I host with them and am very happy. On the rare time that I need support there is always somebody in the live help room which is important to me because I am in a totally different time zone from them and yet there is still somebody there.

alexg 12-16-2006 02:47 PM

I use them and happy :)

fallenmuffin 12-16-2006 03:17 PM

Been hosting with webair for 2 years now.. 100% solid.

What he said ....

madawgz 12-16-2006 04:14 PM

eatmyshorts.com is hosted on a dedicated webair box, they rock! :thumbsup

Kimo 12-16-2006 04:39 PM

I hear their dedicated servers rock, but I can personally say their virtural accounts fucking suck!

My shit goes down atleast 3x a week and when I complain they tell me to move to a dedicated, and the sites i host there dont even max out the small virtural plan.

So if your going dedicated go ahead and use them, if your going virtural your better off with dreamhost (seriously).

PS. Phat Servers rox sox like no other.

Yes and yes and their tech support ticket system coupled with their live system coupled with their 24/7 call center has always worked out well for me. I really like working with them; very personable and they speak English!

First I want to say, that we are quite satisfied with our hosting solution at Webair. We have 3 dedicated servers there, and until everything have been working 100%. But lately we have had some support issues, that have cost us a lot of money and customers.

We used to get great support from Webair, but lately the support team, hasn't been able to help us in time, which has caused unnecessary downtime. But let me take the issues one by one.

1) We opened a supportticket regarding a auth_mod module. When it was installed the first time, it caused an error, so that our paying members couldn't get access to our membersections. I do not complain about this, since the fault was ours. We did not know, that this module could not co-exist with the current auth module. We cleared up the misunderstanding with the tech guys, and the module was re-installed for one domain only. This time access was closed to two of our membersections. Our Member sections were closed for more then 12 hours, and the guys at the LiveHelp di not know how to solve the problem. Our Membersectiosn are back now, but the new module is still not working. We have been waiting for this module to be installed for more than a week now.

2) We had a harddisk failure. We do not blame anyone for this. It happens from time to time. But again - the support regarding this matter was not good. First we were suprised, that no one did notice this. We do have Webair to monitor our sites, so it can not be right, that we have to discover this. We contacted Live-help at once, and they told us that the disk had been deleted. We asked them to restore the drive from the backup. They had trouble doing this, since the server crashed under this process. We feared that our server had been hacked, so we asked the support to change all passwords. We spent several hours changing passwords in our scripts. Several hours passed, and the drive was still down. Then they asked a seniour tech for help, and he located the error at once. The disk was not deleted but defect. If the guys at Live-Help had discovered the real problem, instead of claiming that the disk had been deleted, the sites would have been back in a few hours instead of more then 12 hours.

My point is due to bad support, we have had several sites offline in more than 24 hours. This has result in lost signups and cancelled their memberships, we have spent hours with this issue that could have been spent more productive. All in all these issues have cost us a lot of money and a lot of time.

SkeetSkeet 12-16-2006 05:34 PM

Webair is the best !

Barefootsies 12-16-2006 05:42 PM

I have a virtual with webair. I used to use it for TGP. Now it's just for testing ground for different projects. Nothing major.

If you have anything serious, major, a high traffic, volume, revenue generating site, with webair, you will want dedicated.

:2 cents:

TCAP 12-16-2006 06:18 PM

I've had a dedicated server with them for a year and have had no problems so far.

Waveu6410 12-16-2006 06:20 PM

3 years with them and happy as hell! :)

I still have the virtural, and it was offline today for atleast 20minutes.

I dont want my IPs to change or anything, but I would like it to stop going down several times a week. I have complained numerious times, and nothing has changed.

Yanks_Todd 12-17-2006 12:35 AM

Webair, el rockos

lchaim 12-17-2006 12:36 AM

Mike I need to hit you up then tomorrow about a support ticket gone bad for weeks that the system keeps wanting to close without resolution...

however, that being said, webair rocks 99.95% of the time!

:pimp

support and service are way groovier than most

phasic 12-17-2006 10:09 AM

Anyone from webair online right now? I got some ?'s

ramstein 12-17-2006 10:23 AM

Webair is always online! Join the live chat!

phasic 12-17-2006 10:32 AM

I wanna talk to one of the big reps thats on here at GFY not the guys on the chat on their website, when I have questions about service they tell me to send in an email. I wanna talk to someone from the board that works at webair.

HighSociety 12-17-2006 02:15 PM

webair rocks

Horny Joe 12-17-2006 02:41 PM

Webair is GREAT!
If they fail to bill me one month, they send me a friendly e-mail and asking if I forgot or if there are any problems. If I am short of cash they never shut me down, they just bill me double next month or what ever we decide.

Also the support are great! Since I am an idiot (in general) I always need help with stuff. Webair are there! I even got a little help installing scripts!

Webair truly rules!

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

ramstein 12-17-2006 03:09 PM

WoW! They install scripts for you? It's like Full Service Hosting :)

I guess all hosting companies provide hosting, but not help with installing 3rd parties software..... So, these guys are great then!
