AVS retention rates
 

I've got a dozen sites on NV and about the same on AC.
I haven't made a squirt of piss on AC in 8 months...

Now NV, I've got a couple of sites that hover at 30
members, in what seems like a 6 period cycle.

I know AVSs pretty much cheat everyone on the billing,
but is this about a normal cycle? 3 pays and the guy is
gone?

I ask, because on my pay sites, people hang for about
5 months (10 cycles AVS wise) and I update both pay
and AVS at the same time.

It would seem to me as a surfer that the AVS is a
better deal ... 1000s of sites and all. Any ideas to the
better loyalty to the 1 site? (I use GloBill, so they
actually help the user cancel)

Just trying to work out were I should put my bandwidth
for the fall... about 11meg, across 3 cities (2 Ts and
some biz DSL).

Not complaining, just never seen a back to school with
pay, AVS and TGP so I'm looking for some "trends"
help.

while on freenetpass I got three pays in 8 months and that was it, life was over:feels-hot

I dont know about other AVSes, if you want to give a try to adultbouncer it's 3rd party stats... but I expect other recurring AVSes to have the same setup.. this way you know you aren't cheated ;)

I get very good retention with Cyberages Platinum program, but I treat the members area like a paysite. Daily updates, movies etc.

I'm doing about 9-12 months retention with cyberage platinum

General Avs Retention...
When I was building premium avs sites, anywhere between 3-6 months retention per member was average. That was on sites with exclusive content and which were updated twice a month. Some of my Premium Sites with similar exclusive content didn't do shit and didn't hold members. I always had better retention on my avs sites over my paysites.

Can't comment on average retention trends as yet. We only released our recurring premium program in March and it's going to take a while before we can look into average retention levels. Regular sales of 'one off' payments are certainly more popular at the moment.
