SEO Gurus: Multiple Class C's Block SE Penalization?
 

So I've decided I should switch all my sites to different Class C IPs so I can target similar terms with each site. I've heard having your sites on different Class C IP's will prevent search engines from penalizing your sites, but am curious as to whether or not there are any other factors I'm not taking into account?

Is there anything else I need to do to prevent SE's from realizing I am the owner of all of my sites? My goal is to make the search engines believe each of my sites are owned by different people.

I'm not setting up a CJ, but I would like to be able to target terms like "free porn" with all of my sites without fearing penalization.

We at GotWebHost.com have taken the pro-active measure of assigning a different nameserver for every Class C on our virtual servers. Those purchasing dedicated and VPS plans provide their own nameservers, and we always recommend they follow the same procedure.

Google is not checking NS yet, but they may in the future, so we just planned ahead.

Another suggestion is to modify your whois info a little. For instance, If your name is Jonn Robert Smith, you can register your domains as:

Jonn Robert Smith
Jonn Smith
Jonn R Smith
J R Smith
J Robert Smith

and so on. If married, register under her name, or your corp name as well.

We don't anticipate Google checking whois info anytime soon, but if you are extra paranoid, this is a backup measure you can implement.

i realise your prob just trollling baddog for some reason im not even going to ask but no having your sites on gotwebhost will not get them banned by google.. I have had plenty of domains on gotwebhost , never had a problem.. infact quite the opposite..

I have him on ignore, so if you had not quoted him, I would have missed that gem.

DorkJedi, if being hosted by us would result in a ban, please explain to the class how it is that you get the results you do if you do a search for seo host, or seo hosting and click I'm Feeling Lucky.

i've been recently making seperate nameservers for all my domains, but there is some cross over in the ip's used. do you think they will cross reference the nameserver ip's or the actual name's used?

Okay, seems pretty clear to me now. I'll be checking up on this thread so if there's anymore vital info, feel free to post it.

I presume each domain has its own IP, Are you using different Class C's?

It comes down to this, if Google gets to the point that they are doing manual reviews they can discover everything.

On our 50C dedicated server [50 IP's on 10 Class C's (5*10=50)] we recommend using one NS per Class C. That is sufficient for now.

i currently have various servers with 21 ip's on each server spread over 3 different class C's on each server. i have multiple domains on each ip, but just create virtual nameservers, hence the crossover in the nameserver ip's.
