Wtf is up with people getting married 2,3,4,5 times?? How do people recite "to death do us part" with a straight face on their 3rd time around?


They need to enact a law that only gives you one shot at marriage. Once you get divorced, no more marriage for you (unless your husband or wife dies). At least then, people will take the vow seriously.

Maybe i should have worded that differently. It's the 2nd 3rd and 4th marriages that are a joke

I can see once or twice, but after that it becomes stupid. I did and will only do it once, I meant it when I said till death do us part.. may the best one win :1orglaugh.

If I were to divorce, or hubby to pass away..I see no reason for me to ever get married again..even if I was "in love".

My granpa (RIP) was married 6 times. I only got to know 3 of them. Why he kept getting married was beyond me.

My mom was married twice.. the 2nd husband died from a horrible throat cancer due to the fact he was one of the guys who shot agent orange all over vietnam. She has had 2 live in b/f's since then..no reason to marry them.

Im sure it wasnt your fault but if couples knew it was a one time shot, they may pick their partners wisely.

trust me, I thought I had picked wise. We were together for over 5 yrs before we got married.

On a personal note, I wish I understood marriage better. It seems like such a gamble anymore. I have a friend, has been married to the same woman for 15 years. Coolest guy in the world. Takes care of himself, he does well, great looking guy, would do anything for anybody. Suddenly, she is in love with somebody else, and they are divorcing. WTF!!!!!!!

Sure, its a leap of faith. Jesus, I just cant see putting myself at risk with odds like 50%. You cannot speak for the future. You never know what is going to happen.
