I have upgrade my desktop yesterday, now I have 1Gb of RAM. It's run faster. How much RAM do you have on your desktop?

2 Gb on my Desktop and 512 Mb on my laptop

I have 2gb of dual channel DDR2 5300. I wanted to get faster ram, but the price at the time wasn't nice. I will get faster ram later though.

3gb on my desktop, 1gb on my laptop

1 gig. My new pc which will be finished in two weeks will have 2 gigs.

bought the PC 3.5 years ago and didn't upgrade since then

512 on desktop and 1GB on my laptop.

2gb on my laptop 4gb on my desktop.

do you see any real difference with 4gb? For video editing I can see it making a difference or something else that uses up a lot of resources, but for all the other shit it's next to useless.

I only use my computer for video rendering and photoshop. have a dual-xeon with 4 gb.. so I does make a difference. :)
I do not play games and such...

ah, well in that case it's good to have that kind of power :)

ive got 4gg on this system, i went from 1gb.
i have been playing battlefield2 and i really noticed a considerable difference in framerate when i upgraded the ram to 2gb. from 2gb to 4gb i only noticed a slight improvement, but everything is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy smoother.

1gb....more than enough right now

I use pro apps photoshop, final cut, finale, etc. so recently upgraded to 4 GB. Don't know if it makes any difference though. How can you tell?
