Webair and 2257

I heard that Webair is the best of the adult-friendly hosts, and I just signed up to host my new site.

Can someone tell me, from experience, if Webair has rolled over in any case like the DirectNic/SlicksNetwork case or similar?

ICQ me.

Thanks,

Ray

Webair does Rock and to answer the original question. To the best of my knowledge I don't recall any 2257 drama involving WA at all. :2 cents:

LOL...i think by the time I had finally gave up and moved away from you all, I had like 5 months of free service accumulated...it would have actually been like 2 months free service with all the downtime though

I don't know if they have or they haven't taken any of their clients to task, can't recall anything.

However, in their AUP there is language clearly stated as to what they CAN do....
Quote:

Webair does not monitor or exercise editorial control over the content of any website, electronic mail transmission, news group, or other material created or accessible over or through the Webair Network, except with respect to our own proprietary websites. However, we reserve the right to take down, block, suspend or remove any websites or materials that, in our sole discretion, may be illegal, may subject us to liability, or may violate this AUP.
I've noticed similar clauses in the AUP's of other adult hosts.

Anyone who thinks a host (or registrar for that matter) doesn't have the right to protect their own interests is out to lunch. I can't believe any hosting provider of good consience would knowingly host obviously questionable or otherwise illegal content on their servers and sit back and ignore it.

Of course, you then have the right to take your business elsewhere. Fair is fair.
