An open letter to pornographic webmasters
Many of you have become aware of the issue between a pornographic operation known as "Slicks Network" and its domain registrar, directNIC. directNIC has required "Slicks Network" to produce documentation showing that its models are over the age of 18. When this information is not provided (we are certain it will not be provided), directNIC will be deactivating these domains and turning information about the operation over to law enforcement.
We thus feel it is time to disclose that this action is the result of efforts by contributors to our organization, perverted-justice.com. You may have heard of us from the Dateline NBC program "To Catch a Predator".
We have begun an initiative to confront the problem of pedophile-enabling material on the internet. This material is commonly referred to as "teen porn". This material is designed to appeal to the prurient interests of men who desire sex with children, either pedophiles or ephebophiles. As such, pornographic material of this nature supports the larger pedophilic program, and is typically used by pedophiles as a stepping-stone to actual molestation or abduction.
Our new initiative will extend the methods of our organization to confront this problem. We recognize that the law in not sufficient to deal with it. We will supplanting the law, while operating fully within it, to eliminate this scourge and its harmful effects on children.
WE WILL CONDUCT OUR INITIATIVE IN A MANNER FULLY CONSISTENT WITH ALL LAWS THAT MAY APPLY.
With that said,
WE WISH TO NOTIFY ALL ADULT WEBMASTERS THAT ANY WEBSITES FEATURING "TEEN PORN" CONCEPTS SHOULD BE CLOSED WITHIN NINETY DAYS.
You may consider the action with "Slicks Network" a warning and a demonstration of our capability. After March 15, 2006, we will begin taking action against any remaining "teen porn" web sites. While such action may include complaints filed with domain registrars and/or hosting companies, we have other avenues available that we choose not to disclose at this time.
WE WILL ATTEMPT TO BRING "TEEN PORN" OPERATIONS AND THE INDIVIDUALS BEHIND THEM INTO THE OPEN. WE WILL EXERCISE EVERY LEGAL MEANS TO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ENABLE PEDOPHILES BY WAY OF "TEEN PORN".
We have techniques that have proven to be very effective in achieving our goals with respect to child solicitation. Any "teen porn" operations that remain after the date indicated above will be considered fair game.
