During this week's Hug Nation, I asked my 94 year old grandpa about the gifts he was giving for christmas. His answer is a nice break from the consumer craziness:

so true about Christmas just becoming an exchange... that's why I like the buy a goat/chicken for a family in a developing country thing - they don't expect it, and it gives so much more than just a piece of meat :)

Totally. And I think its a cool thing for the kids to start associating with Xmas...instead of just "the day we get toys."

My Dad asked for some eye of newt and hair from a toad. My
brother asked me if I had any extra hair I'd be willing to part with :(

You have no idea. He gets studied 2x a year by UCSD researchers and when he dies they are disecting his brain. :)

We took some fun pics last week with him in a pink shirt and me in a white one...but you are right. :)
